The class has 3 specs which are considered casters / healers, yet the interrupt, Quell, is considered a physical kick. This is extremely annoying for Shamans as they cannot Grounding totem it, and specs like Warlock that have a reflect talent get kicked anyway because it is not a magical kick
It’s been an entire expansion, already reported this as a bug many times, radio silence
That doesn’t matter, we aren’t talking about class fantasy here.
It’s a class with 3 SPELLCASTERS.
That deal damage with Magic.
By the same logic, you could make Warrior kick Magical and it wouldn’t work during a mistweaver’s Revival immunity. It makes no sense. A Kick should be magical or physical based on what kind of damage your class does.
It doesn’t matter if your class has magic or phys dmg, but if that dmg and the kick are the same type
Evoker only does magic damage. Only has spellcaster / healer specs.
And has a Physical kick.
It is the only ranged magical damage dealer in the game that has this and there is no clear reason why.
Because some melees actually use magic, otherwise we would all simply be Warriors.
The whole point of the thread is fixing this issue. It’s been one of the mini-problems for some classes the entire expansion, notably for all Shamans and Warlocks who play the reflect talent. Getting kicked through warlock reflect and grounding by a Devastation for example should not be intended in any way.
There’s other mini-issues in the game that exist that I have reported yet are not fixed for the entire expansion.
For example, Evoker shroud can be sapped off even when you are flying in the air with Deep Breath, when you are CC immune, which also makes 0 sense. It’s like the equivallent to currently being disarmed during bladestorm.
If they were using magic to interrupt, then sure it would make sense. But its a physical kick, so it makes sense that its physical. They’re basically handicapped range wise as it is. The evoker kick is the equivalent to warrior back in the day when they had gag order / disrupting shout, hence why its physical.
It makes as much sense as a ret being able to technically speaking out range an evoker? Judgement is 30 yards, surge is 25. In theory a ret can out range a evoker to death, does it make sense. No!
Also side note, we could argue similar-esque things and similar semantics, but whether you like it or not. Paladin also has a physical interrupt.
90% of their kit is holy / radiant damage, why is that not magic.
Unrelated to wow entirely, there’s champions in LoL who have a silencing effect and all they’re doing is being really loud
All I’m getting off this is that it sounds like you had a bad time recently likely involving a evoker kicking you on a shaman.
Its more his personal opinion than any form of class fantasy which he did say before.
Im just confused why he said its a bug when its quite clearly not.
Shall we completely ignore the Dracthyr racial abilities that all make use of their half dragon body to do things in a physical way, similarly to the way “Quell” works ? Yes we shall, because that’s how we argue!
The guy mains DH which has a 360° dodge that completely defies the rules of the game prior to the appearance of this imbecile class, and is ONLY explained/justified by “well they don’t see with their eyes, rather they feel everything around them, have a mind’s eye, it’s LORE”, he doesn’t complain, but when a dragon-like class uses a spell that means shouting, it’s a major bug that it’s not on a magic school and can’t be explained via lore and racial traits.
blur’s fantasy comes from Neo in the Matrix, dodging bullets from all sides
but u wouldn’t know
u spend ur entire day pressing garrote
lOoK gUyS aT mY eDuCaTeD rEsPoNsEs
ur gonna make this a game of logic?
sure
before my imbecile class, ur imbecile class started with an ability called Stealth, which has an unlimited duration until you break it yourself, or someone finds you
now let’s pretend stealth had a duration
oh wait, in 99% of every other game, it does
so where’s the logic in being permanently invisible as a class that’s supposed to just be a bandit that’s good with daggers and poisons?
yeah go back to pressing garrote on that one chief
coz your whole spec is 1 button with negative iq requirement
It is. For some reason you don’t strike me as someone who has a deep interest into the topic. Or did you really think one day someone came to a meeting and was like “GUYS LETS INVALIDATE A CORE PVE AND PVP GAME MECHANIC BECAUSE I SAW MATRIX YDAY” and everyone clapped ?
Simple. Be invisible so you can sneakily stab someone with your poisoned daggers !
Also, try to have the intelligence to not take the words “imbecile class” meant as “you are an imbecile” simply because you play it. I mean what I write, not whatever you decide to divine between the lines.
I am not a big league player but I’m fairly sure Evelynn has or had permanent stealth ?
