Evoker = massive failure?

When DK came out, everyone was a DK.
When Monk/DH came out, many people rerolled to them.

but I have not heard a single player say they will reroll or even have any interest in playing evoker

Was evoker one of the biggest failures of all time for blizz? seems like it.

This seems like an issue with sample size, as almost everyone I play with is considering levelling an Evoker.

I admit my sample is the same “minority” as yours, but with the exact opposite conclusion.

The same happened with DH, everyone complained about them pre Legion release, but I saw plenty of DHs in game on day 1.

At least give people a chance to play it before you condemn it. Geez.

Can we at least wait till the game is out?

Can’t really say it “was” until it actually comes out and people get a chance to try it out.

I’m gonna roll one and give it a try, have a name reserved for one and am looking forward to trying out their start zone.

I think you might be surprised with how many evokers you actually see when they become available, but like DH they might not remain popular compared to other classes due to the race restriction on the class.

As a long time evoker main im very offended.

Also the class is not even out of beta yet, lots of people will try it out.

Does not mean it will be popular tho, monks are historically one of the least played classes.

From what i’ve tested on the beta i think it will be a fun alt for me atleast, the 25 yard thing is the biggest issue I have with the class.

I believe Monk and DH are the 2 least played classes. Maybe Evoker will join them, but at the same time that still wouldnt’t be a failure as we can see that the last two added classes are also at the bottom of the list. Failure will be if at the end of the expansion there are less than 3% Evokers or sth like that.

I for one have zero interest in evoker and the dractyr race.

I am not going to play it either. If it was a buff dragonkin in plate armor, then it would be a different matter.

I guess it depends, we’re expecting to see people go evoker on our raid team.

How many you exactly interviewd about it? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
I mean just on the forum dozens of dozens of people expressed their desire to make one or more
The RP forum have more who were looking for cool names or shared their ideas about it
The general forum have a topic called “share your Dracytl” or soemthing liek that ,where you can share your plans how your evoker will look like and boy, a lots of people shared their future almost-dragon!
Personally I will make at leats two
So you were saying?

Everyone will at least try evoker even if only for the character creation.

It is something new and exciting.

I am. The only reason I’m buying DF is because of the new race/class.

Wish they’d tweak the draconic form a bit and that I could try it out on the beta first, but it is what it is.

How much did blizzard pay you to say that?

0, but I’d gladly say it for more than 25€. I ain’t expensive.

Just what I was thinking…you cant past tense something that hasnt happened yet!

Im not a big fan of tanky/melee type classes so Im not that interested in that side but I do like healers so Im looking forward to trying that one out.

Plenty of players from my guild said they will go Evoker in DF… seems fine to me.

Why would it be better to have less options?
No, even if Evoker didn’t exist, the current classes wouldn’t be better balanced in the end, they will never ever be balanced against each other.

Visage forms are lame and bland, yet another blood elf, and a human, they didn’t even bother editing their idle stances to make them look bit different like they did with the Nightborne and the Nightelves.
