EXC_BAD_ACCESS Cataclysm PTR on MacOS

Hi,

the PTR client for Cataclysm Classic keeps crashing right after launching it from the Battle.Net client. It shows a photosensitivity warning, then freezes and crashes.

What I already tried:

  • Repair Game
  • Restart Computer
  • Reinstall Game
  • Clean Install (only Cataclysm PTR, no addons)

This is my system info:

  • Mac Studio
  • M2 Max
  • macOS Sequoia 15.2 (24C101) latest

This is the error ID:

Due to an internal server error, I can’t post the error log.

Support doesn’t do anything about PTR, at all. They’re tasked with helping with stuff concerning the live game.

There’s an in development section in the forums for anything testing related.

Found solution in this thread - Startup crash with PTR Client - macOS - #2 by Skuggwp-gehennas

You need to get Config.wtf folder from someone who has a fresh working PTR on Windows or Linux, and add it to the WTF folder of your prt game.
In my case, the WTF folder did not exist, so I had to manually create it.
