Execute obsolete?

ok so from a casual point of view only, is execute now obsolete for fury? with the new talent trees, looks like rampage, and empowered bloodthirst do more damage than execute, and are available often enough that using execute is almost a waste of a gcd. thoughts?

TLDR: Execute is likely not the wrong button to press as a builder, just feel free to press it :dracthyr_heart:

(Reminder that execute does damage in two parts, as such, the number on your screen looks small - while BloodBath (empowered Bloodthirst) does all its damage in one hit and looks bigger comparably in one hit)

Execute got a ~275% AP mod, and generates 20 rage pre cast

Raging blow sits at around 210% AP mod, generates 12 rage per cast

Bloodthirst is about 155% ap mod, and generates 8 rage per cast

So in general, Execute is just the better choice of the buttons. If you play Reckless Abandon, (Raging Blow) Crushing Blow got a 290% ap mod and generates 12 rage.

So during that window, you might want to prio your CB, if you are not playing Ashen Juggernaught (the ability to give your execute 50% more crit chance on Exe), as execute got a lot of crit damage modifers baked in a bit of everywhere.

So, if you play Anger Management you will press execute, if you play Reckless Abandon you will sometimes delay using execute (if no-Ashen Juggernaught), if you play Slayer you want to execute to reset the CD of your bladestorm consuming the marked stacks.

The reasoning goes on. To kind of sum it up, execute still does a lot of damage as a builder. It got a ton of modifiers as well, especially crit damage and crit ones. Execute is not obsolete and still part of our rotation :dracthyr_yay_animated:
