Exiles reach vs standard starting zone

Which is faster to level?

The new starter zone feels more like a elaborate tutorial for new players, rather then a place where you get overloaded with quests you can farm really quick for easy xp.

The exile’s reach is only 1 hour and you can reach lvl 10-11 and it’s more dynamic than the original starting zone, I really loved it beside the bugs with the yellow marks xD…
And ofc, the Exile’s reach is mainly for new people but you can enjoy it as veteran player.
I did it with two characters, alliance & horde.
(PD: I recorded these videos for a friend that can’t play, you can see the differences and it seems the Horde one was more careful than the Alliance one, by the voices in the characters).

New starting zone gives some mogs so choice is clear at least for me

Do they don’t give new mogs from vendors as same this zone rewards?

Literally no idea,i’ve just learned about mog set from guildie

Exiles reach feels smoother than lets say the night elf starting zone. But the yellow marks to equip stuff bother me a bit, since i use heirlooms.

cant you turn off the tutorial for that? should stop it.

Where the hell are those sets for tmog? XD
There’s only a vendor with a few weapons.

Good thinking!

not worth at all using heirlooms in that zone since they don’t give exp…

They could have revamped the classic starting areas and beyond than do this.

I think Exile’s Reach is faster, but that certainly doesn’t make it better.

Exile’s Reach is a tutorial with no hook. It fails to hit all the buttons that WoW is designed to hit.

It doesn’t put you in a vast, open world where you can choose how to approach problems.
It doesn’t put you in social situations by having everyone firing up the chat box and helping each other with hard mobs and quests.
It doesn’t sell the easy to use interface by having it constantly annoy you with obvious details (even for new players).
It undersells the sense of identity from removing the ties between your race and your starter experience. I believe it does have a class quest though, so that’s nice. Not “Now go to Moonglade and start your journey to become one with the bear, young one” levels of nice, but nice.

This is RPG’s at their absolute worst. I said the same thing on the beta forums: This tutorial tells you how to play, but it doesn’t tell you why you should.

xDDD ok that’s a good one

They have some exclusive set pieces

Yes you can - I think the zone turns tutorial on automatically which most people have off, so you have to turn it off again.

ah yeah, I thought we were talking about vendor with armors xD

Was trying Pandaren starter area again and that gets you from 1-18. Then around 20-21 to get to hozen village in Jade Forest.

Beginning to think doing all in Jade Forest and Valley of Four Winds will get to 50 at this rate. Not much of a see another expansion again to be fair.

Time changes.
