I just did exiles reach. I did NOT enjoy it. Heres why;
The amount of bugs is insane - how can it ship with this amount of bugs?
Pop-ups constantly tell me to open my spell book, that I got new gear, that I need to loot, forces me to drag unwanted spells to my spell bar, pop-up messages goes beyond screen border, lag spikes, cannot close bags etc.
New spells are given way too fast. You hardly get to try out a spell before a new one needs to be put in your rotation.
Spells are irrelevant - why would I need to shield block when everything dies in 3 hits and poses no threat to me
Gear is thrown in your face. Theres NO excitement getting a piece of gear anymore.
There is no mail box. Meaning you cannot delete your character before he completes exiles reach, if theres mail in the inbox. So there, now im already stuck with 2 characters that im FORCED to complete exiles reach on.
The chests are wierd looking and feels like something out of fortnite
Rare mobs poses no threat
I could go onâŚ
I am not a game designer, but Im confident I could design a better experience than whoever did this piece of garbage. Wow has again (for me) manifested itself as dumb.
Strange, I have not experienced any bugs since PTR. Have you tried turning tutorials off in your settings? It resets it each time you do Exileâs Reach annoyingly enough.
I donât think that getting the spells at this pace is an issue, we wanted to get something every level and now we sort of do, it feels much better to level again.
Some of the unpruning choices are a little odd but I suppose at the beginning they make sense in showing you different aspects of the specializations.
Itâs just baby gear, you always get quest rewards and you get a little mog for completing the island. I donât really see the issue for it? I get the excitement when it upgrades to blue or more quality.
Mail box is an issue, same in Pandaren starting area. You could get the mailbox whistle by doing the mailbox questline in new Dalaran as a work around.
The chests are enormous but I have no problems with phat loots.
The rare mobs are not so much rare these days as âspecialâ and usually drop something nice for you to wear.
I assume OP must obviously not be a noob to the game, so ofcourse he feels this way.
NPE, the new zone. Was not designed for people like you OP. It was designed for noobs. So maybe look at it from a noobs perspective before you throw your judgements as facts.
I think it does itâs job well for new players. It covers gear, combat, spells, vendoring, looting chests - all wrapped up with a dungeon experience at the end.
Sorry, but no bugs experienced here, and to be fair it is an area to allow new players to get used to the setup, Experienced players would find it a bit simple, but I actually enjoyed it.
Remember if the mobs proved to be too difficult for newer players, it may well just turn them off the game.
Furthermore, I actually enjoyed the story alright. It wasnât epic or anything like that, but it felt a bit like a D&D adventure condensed into a short and concise experience.
Imagine refusing to follow the TUTORIAL (which you can turn off in the options) and then complaining because you already know what you are doing, instead of appreciating how much work and effort was put into helping new players understand how the interface, spells and everything else works and then having the audacity to call the TUTORIAL island a huge bug XD
If you could do better, please lay out exactly how you would have done it to make it superior.
Iâll take a guess and imagine it involves having to Q up with tons of other players to take out mobs, having to wait for groups, never getting any loot unless that 0.5% chance procs and the game not generally telling you what to do, which sounds like a 101 in âhow not to entice new players into the gameâ which is exactly what exileâs reach is for.
If youâre a vet, congrats, the zone isnât designed with you in mind. Now if you didnât figure out how to turn off the tutorial button within the first run then that is on you my friend.
Itâs a nice quick zone even for vets imo. It takes me very little time to get it done and it gets you to level 10 far quicker than regular starting experiences does and gives you some âodd slotsâ re non hierloom stuff (except boots) which actually have stats on them.
Exactly this. I did experience the new spell popup bug which was really annoying, particularly when it suddenly appeared in the dungeon and covered some of my spells but it was useful to go back to basics and the story-line helps new players understand a bit about WoW.
Weird, I played it once but I havenât encountered any bugs.
Also this is meant to be the easiest level of content there is where a fresh player gets automatically thrown in to learn the ropes, youâre being too harsh.
I did Exileâs reach aswell but didnât encounter any bugs, what you describe there isnât a bug. While annoying, thatâs part of the tutorial and you can turn it off from Interface â Display.
I dont know⌠but when i see threads with useless complain like this, opened by a 0 post char i always think is trolling or baiting.
Anyway: exile reach is short and good for starters. It takes 1\2h to finish it.
Are you one of the ppl sitting n front of AH for hours?
