Expand Macro Slots

Hi everyone.

Is there an addon that increse possible number of macros in the “Character_name specific macros” panel?

All addon related to macros either outdated and not working, or do a bunch of stuff but increasing number of possible macro slots.

I’m not aware of any, but i wonder if that’s the way to go to solve your needs ?
Do you really use that many macros, often enough, on a single character ?

If most of your macros aren’t really in use (but you still want to keep them), then an addon like MacroBank allows you to store as many macros as you want in a filing system. You can’t use those macros directly from the macrobank, but you can add them to your regular macros when you need them.

Alternatively, if you have this many macros because you’ve basicly made a macro for every single spell, and your actionbar consists largely of macros, maybe because you wanted to add some targeting logic (or mouseovers), then consider an add-on like Clique. It’ll allow you to put a macro directly behind a keybind without using the wow macro storage.

Yes, mostly those are mousover macros for healing, taunting, stuns etc. Think i’ll check Clique, thank you)

Cool,

Yea i think you’ll find Clique tends to be more useful for that than the build-in macro system.
It may have a tiny bit of a learning curve, but i’m sure you’ll be able to find many videos or guides on it if needbe.

It’s a very popular add-on and i think a majority, or at least large amount of healers, use it for exactly that reason (mouseovers).

I’m interested because, as a druid who plays all 4 specs, with different spells that do different things on different specs and under different shapes, with different talents and Heart Essences, I am very much running out of macros.

It’s a thing to have a few macros on a class like hunter where they all have the same role and there’s only one action bar, it’s another when you have 4 specs each with their very distinct role and forms.

Hoping they’ll increase it for SL

I feel that if they increase the number of macros a character can store, this will be a fail on their part.
It is good to offer some ui-customisation though if someone needs to create that many macros, it means that one base aspect of the game is not desogned properly
