Expansion Prep List

Hey there, I’ve been somewhat burned out of proggression gameplay in wow and now I try to focus on the casual stuff like lvling and some collecting here and there, but anyways.
I have taken it upon myself to prep as best as possible or TWW with the following objectives:

  • atleast one lvl 70 char of every class
  • cleaned out bags and sorted Banks
  • atleast a solid transmog on all chars (beautiful char screen visuals)
  • a “decent” amount of gold

And was wondering if there’s any other objective I might be missing or if there’s a ritual or something you guys have for pre- expansion prepping?

Since You are preparing so much, this might not be for You, but here’s a fun concept:

Take a break from any wow content outside the game itself. Don’t go to wowhead/Youtube/this forum to look for information about the new expansion. Learn to play without addons. Go into the War Within blind, ride a ground mount first in every zone, discover the expansion Yourself when it launches, not few months in advance.

You should be able to recover from falling behind when season two hits, as they usually bring a ton of catch-up mechanics. The feeling of discovery will remain though, and will be a fond memory for the future.

My problem is the choice of main. Since i dropped my beloved mage im still wandering from char to char… So my ritual is to stay steady when i choose a main (still struggling between pally and spriest)

I mean that’s an interesting idea, unfortunately not really possible as I’ll be exploring the new expansion with friends and I’d hate it to just kinda not be with them on expansion launch. But it’s definetely a cool Idea to do that.

Same here, I’ve swapped for every season of DF so far, dunno how S4 will be for me but let’s see

We still have a few patches to go, I wouldn’t clean out bags just yet.

This is pretty much all that is needed before Pre-Patch.

When Pre-Patch hits there is an event that provided a lot of xp so you can level up one of each class (that you like playing, don’t level a class you don’t like even if it’s fotm - you won’t enjoy it and fotm changes so often anyhow).
Also Pre-Patch will gear up these character quite well. DF pre-patch gave 252 gear which was pretty good.

I really hope that in TWW bag space won’t be such an issue, hopefully some sense will prevail and they will start to respecto our game-time by not making us do Inventory Management chores every other day.

Sorry whats

I’m 18 i swear but idk what that means

Flavour of the Month.
Sometimes called META these days but I still think of Meta as in its original meaning of meta-gaming or meta-rules.

Ahhhh gotcha gotcha

Interesting…

Well I wanna have one at max level and then if I ever feel like playing them for the patch or whatever it’ll be more accesable that way I have full freedom of choice

Expansion prep… hmm… Well I would want my main and my alts I would like to play on max level of course. And the highest gear possible.

But when the expansion launches your mythic 480+ gear is going to become about the same as leveling gear anyway x) Since the level cap will increase to 80?
480 gear will stay good for a while though trough your leveling. But by 80 it will need to be replaced.

I don’t know if there is much preparation you honestly can do. Besides irl ones xD

Make sure you have a few free days from work ready too roll out when the expansion launches. And maybe work on proffessions, If you wanna give them a go in The war within.

If you want the best experience I think what Irsi said above me is good advice too.
No Wowhead and youtube to get the best spoiler free experience.

I’m guessing we have some time left. Perhaps it could be fun to level the classes you still have to do ‘in character’? No idea where you are level wise with them, but picking zones that are racially relevant or have storylines that have meaning for them and such. Contemplate fitting companions (and mogs!), usually some stuff will pop up that may mean some enjoyable detours. Maybe consider their stories, who they are in this world. It’s less efficient, but as we still have time, it might be a fun, immersive experience

Yeah I plan to, need that wow hyperaddiction for 2 days before returning to “normal life”

That actually sounds pretty nice, still have 1 or two classes I have yet to start, might do that with them and see how it goes

Don’t forget to stock up on Monster energy drinks… Frozen pizzas and lots of snacks and have a good time! \o/ prepare some movies and stuff to watch when you need some time off wow too :dracthyr_nod:

*Stares at the Monster on my work desk as we speak * :dracthyr_uwahh_animated:

Hell yeah, I’m just excited as fuuuuuuuuuu :dracthyr_comfy_blue: :dracthyr_nod:

Ahh too be young and hyped for expansions. I am getting a contagious hype here too xD Stay clear off the forums tho. The first few weeks… Forums are gonna be …foruming.

Well yeah they are already doing that, I mean just look at hero talents, so many moaners and people complaining about abilities we dont have either numbers or their first draft-pre alpha. But I enjoy simply the feeling that I can say whenever I see something new about the expansion:“I wanna see it!”. And it#s that simple enjoyment that makes me smile :dracthyr_comfy_blue:

Same as you but i make sure to have some flasks/runes/pots/food as any lil buff helps and if i remember correct we can dragonfly from start in TWW so thats a bonus.

Worse advice ever.

You need plenty of water/fruit and healthy foods and take a 5 to 10 min break every hour to get up and move legs and get breathing.
