so it apears that for neither cloth leather mail and plate that the expeditionary boots are optainable in exile’s reach. yet they must be optainable somewhere cuz they are show in your mog list as not collected yet. idk if this is a bug or intented.
if anyone has more info on how to get them that would be nice

Issue was much the same in PTR. I assumed they have a random drop chance from a chest on the island but can’t say for certain.
It’s the pvp set isn’t it?
So will probably get it once ensembles become purchasable.
it is shown as world drop on mog list. i have went trough exile’s reach 2 times looted all chests killed all rares ( wich seems to be only 2 rares on the island ) but nothing. only world drop i saw from that island is a green neck that drops from the ogres in the 2 runs i did i got the neck 2 times so it seems to be a common drop. yet boots are nowhere to be found
yes it resembles a pvp set. but yet they gave us the whole expeditionary set exept the boots. i dont think its intended and if so then its a lame joke in my oppinion
No, it’s not a pvp set. It’s gear from the new starter zone, from which you get every slot minus the boots to finish the set. Been mentioned on the beta/ptr a few times, but they’re still not added.
WoWhead comments state that (supposedly) you are meant to get them from killing the Murlocs but someone farmed like 200 and didn’t get the drop. I guess it’s a bug they simply didn’t bother with. Again.
Well, fingers crossed they get added to the ER vendor then. It’s a nice set, I just wish I could get boots and a shield to complete it!
It’s a shame we got everything BUT boots.

But seriously, at least for Plate Wearers, it’s the same appearance as Blacksmithing Honorable Combatant’s Plate Boots. So it is possible to finish the set (at least for plate wearers).
Oh another serious note. Blizz needs to stop treating it’s players like this. I mean most people who have run Exiles reach so far has just done it for the transmog.
It’s a bit of an odd choice that the set of ‘white’ pieces that you get before the green transmog pieces is, as shown in your picture, a slutmog for plate users! Thank goodness that there was a tabard to buy so my prim and pure paladin could cover up!

You mean a Tabard that isn’t green therefore can’t be transmogged.
It’s a starter zone, much of the drops/gear are grey/white.
I was wondering if I missed something, now I know it wasn’t my fault. It’s a shame.
The boots you need to complete the sets are the BFA PVP crafted ones. The “Combatant” stuff.
I’m sure they consciously decided to give the player an entire transmog set minus one part, and indeed one absolutely crucial part which when absent utterly ruins the entire thing.
I’m scratching my head as to the reasoning, and my only conclusion is it must be some kind of pyschological game their playing. “Oh I couldn’t get this set so I’ll play more and get the full BfA sets, which look very similar.”
To me it’s just damn frustrating.
Which is a shame. I got a prettty green cloak as a drop from one of the island rares but it was white.
It’s more the opposite of that. They added some recolours in BFA and then decided to shove the missing pieces into the new starting experience. But yeah, it is weird how they have split the sets up so you can’t get them all from one place.
I did the island on all 4 armor types (warrior,hunter,monk,warlock) for transmog and yea all of em got the full set except the boots
