Expert Riding speed

Hey all,

in the game peeps seem to fly around with 60%. But Blizz official page says:
Expert Riding 150% speed.

What is now wrong/right? Will they be patched to 150% bc it is a bug or did they make a mistake on the page?

Thanks!

Edit: Journeyman → Expert

Thats Shadowlands skills (ie retail)…not TBC era skills.

Journeman is 100% ground mount skill.

Expert riding is:
Retail 150%
TBCC 60%

Scroll down a bit, they’ve kinda just copy pasted the shadowlands to BC version.

It’s a mistake, Blizzard put in minimal effort.
WOTLK is when they changed 60% > 150%
And that was close to the end of WOTLK as well.

I remember getting flying first.

+60% is 80% of the ground mounted speed, so the main point is that you can skip. But it takes longer, so you are still motivated to ride or fight a bit. But, if you really need to skip, or fly up somewhere, you have the option. Also it still motivates you to use your ground mounts.

At one point they communicated that it doesn’t feel an upgrade, and it’s weird, so they improved it. From that point onwards, skipping and swooping is the norm.

(Well, on second thought, once you afford the +280, it’s the same.)

No, if you open the page it says TBC Classic Expert Riding is 150%. That is the whole point of my question.

So I wonder if there are plans to change from 60 to 150.

Can you skip riding skills? I thought you need to buy them in order?

You are correct.
I mean skipping obstacles on the ground, such as cliffs or packs of mobs.
