Explain this to me

when i run my mouse over harmless critters the cursor turns into a sword, WHY?

Because you can kill them. You may not want/need to, in which case ignore them.

The might not be as harmless as they want you to think… It’s a trap

Best thing to do, find some seagulls and click on them.

Because they know a barbarian like you can’t resist the urge to KILL harmless, helpless critters who just want to peacefully wander the game on the same irregular path in their tiny patch of ground for uncountable ages, you unshaved, unwashed cavemen, red of face, sweaty of pits and heaving of pant.

There’s a spot just above Thunderbluff where the bunnies are carrying knives and bats!

You must be a battle pet then. Go battle them!

That is one of my favourite things. I love finding unlikely things that the designers have put in remote/hidden areas.

Because murder, that’s why. It’s pretty much the theme of the game.

Critters evolve into pests given enough time, just do your part and cull the herd while you can.

In the past when you had to level weapon skills, while running past them you whack them without stopping to count towards a skill up.

Have you found the Octopus’s Gardens in BfA?

But DONT KICK CHICKENS

That murderous flock of cranky chickens in Stormsong Valley! I specifically went back there after out-levelling them so I could kick their feathery butts.

No, I haven’t?

I was lucky enough to stumble on to one of them during BfA. There are two - one off the coast of Stormsong and one off Nazmir, I think.

The effect would be much less if you just go there knowing about it. Thery aren’t referenced by anything and they are not part of any quest. They are just … there, a bright undersea bar and hangout for the local marine life. I remember wishing they could have licenced “Octopus’s Garden” as a music background, but I suppose that would not be practical.

P.S. Oh, I never realised there was one in every zone

Thank you. I shall go have a look. That’s exactly the sort of thing I mean. Something that doesn’t have to be there but which someone’s taken a long time creating just for those who find them by accident.

A bit like the thing I found a couple of weeks ago in Nazjatar which I posted in the ‘things that make me smile’ thread

i was thinkin the problem (just from my POV) with sl is they scrapped all these things that are a good “add” to the game.

There is an achievement (I seem to remember) about killing 1000 critters or some such…
