Expulsom killed my profession

I know this has been talked about in several locked threads.
But can we all agree that Expulsom is the worst profession mechanics ever.

It is very dumb. Even more how long and boring the process of farming them on mass is.

I never since BFA start seen any locked threads over this ?

Its so easy to get though ?

No, i actually kinda like it

It makes for ways to make gold off professions without multiboxers ruining it for us since its more useful for them to mass farm mats instead of mass scrapping items

My problem is i have nothing to use them on since dropping tailoring after BoD (thanks to benthic) and now i have almost 2k, for a moment i was going to throw them but i realized i might need them in the future, unlike Hydrocore and Tidalcore.

Just out of curiosity, How and what exactly do you make to profit from them?

I dislike use of BoP materials on professions with passion. Artificial grind mechanic - all, but enchanters must have. Makes professions and alts pretty much no point and thus on long run reducing time spent on game.

I got the achievement of all professions 150 and then came the patch with updated levels and I thought F- this.

I disliked the BoP part in professions in MoP, I hated them in legion, i dislike it in BfA.

so because you dislike multiboxers, lets ruin it for almost everyone else.

Pretty much anything, mostly follower gear, the platinum stone in blacksmithing is cheap to make for the biggest profit, but prices jump back n fourth so often you have to be lucky to get them sold, i make azerite detectors which costs 50 expulsom and you can get 30-40K each if you strike at the right time

I dislike all those BoP crafting items. Bout time they made them BoA. Sitting on a ton of them on my main… just because I have no use for them. Meanwhile I could have used them on other characters or hell if they were BoE sell em.

Just look at the ridiculous prices of follower equipment and their availability. All because of BoP nonsense.

Couldn’t you use them to make 32 slot bags ? I think turn to another thing ?

That’s the thing i cant since i took JC/alchemy over tailoring for the ring and an extra hour on raid flasks.

Good call, my warlock is a herbalist so i might be able to craft a few herb tracking ones.

All threads lock after 30 days of inactivity. It’s an anti necro measure.

you should try jewelcrafting then.

Have fun collecting half a million gold worth of stuff for a ring that becomes irrelevant in 2 months.

I thought so. But a few days ago I needed a lot of it for the engineering goggles. So I realized, by crafting and shredding greens (BoE cloth on another character, then send back to DK), 1 expulsum is roughly 7 gold of AH mats.

My point is it makes little sense for me to craft 1000 items, just to scrap them to get enough to level BS. What was wrong with gathering ore, smelting bars and combining them with other materials found around azeroth to craft items.

99.9 % of items you can craft before max level is useless and even at max skill your carefully crafted items are replaced after on run in LFR.

The reason why my professions are the last thing I get around to doing is because its unrewarding and boring.

Every Currency thats Bind on Character is very bad in a game like WoW. Thats why almost all other mmos have currencies bound to Account.
No idea why Blizzard doesnt do that already.

As an alchemist/herbalist, I have no use for them. I wish I did. Same with tidal cores.

That’s if ur AH has enough materials in it  life in small servers is sad.
