Who was the smart individual that decided the dotd event is so short and during a weekday? Please extend to include the weekend so we can all* get the achievment
It does suck that Day of the Dead & Pirates Day are just 24 hours but they don’t count towards the meta achievement so I wouldnt worry about it too much. The cooking recipe is far more important given how difficult it is to get 160 cooking recipes.

That’s because the actual holiday lasts one day even in real life, aside from that - this is a game, if you don’t have time to grind then you are better off in Minecraft.

Xmas is 2 days but ingame its like a week
Depends on where you are, usualy it is more than 2 days in total. But the DotD achivement is not required for anything anyway and the pet is useless as it takes bagspace.
Winter Veil is longer than one day, don’t get Christmas day and winter veil mixed up. They are not alike at all.
It will come back next year.

I’m sure you’ll survive with 10 achievement points less.
It was like TWO whole days (minus an hour*) - and you had to play for 5 minutes MAX to get the achievement.
