So far we’ve received 2 buffs which allow us to receive the following - 100% more XP and also 100% reputations gain (Legion and BFA). I have to admit, world of Azeroth is more alive than ever, people are leveling their alt’s, which is also 100% more enjoyable, same with the world quests, so many people are doing those thanks to the reputation boost! Personally I used to skip some emissaries, but now because of the “Impressive Influence” I’m waiting every day for the new one.
Because there is not really that much to do, those buffs are giving us something now, you’ve done amazing move guys with extending the leveling buff till Shadowlands, can it be repeated now in case of “Impressive Influence”?
I would love this as well, although I don’t mind not including the new 8.3 factions. I’d love it if they extended the buff backwards to older content factions instead.
Ion said in a recent interview that they won’t extend the duration of the reputation buff, but they will be doing something else in the coming days. Seemingly something with a focus on helping all those freshly-dinged max level alts with all the annoying catch-up stuff (legendary cloak, essences, corruptions, etc.).
They wont extend it, at least not for BFA reps, for one very obvious reason, gold. If like me you have several alts at 120 and plenty of time on your hands due to lockdown, its too easy to farm the paragon chests for gold, Im close to making 1 mill in gold just from the paragon chests alone during this buff, if they extend it there is just going to be too much gold floating around again, same reason they didnt put a hard cap on the neck level again and convert azerite missions to gold
No, rep buff ending on Monday as of Wowhead front page…
This is the last weekend to grind factions with the massive +100% reputation buff, Impressive Influence. As stated by Ion Hazzikostas in his interview with WowChakra, the reputation buff has allowed players to unlock allied races and new rewards, but will not be extended. However, there’s another buff coming next which will help players with alts catch up, although few details have yet been given. As covered previously, the experience buff Winds of Wisdom is extended until the Shadowlands pre-patch, whenever that may be, as you can never have too many alts!
Ion gave an interview yesterday I think where he was asked about this and he said they don’t have plans to extend it, but they have plans to replace it with other buffs that are interesting and help players get caught up. He literally mentioned “getting the corruptions that you want” and we have no idea what that means yet. 8.3 rep boost also isn’t out of the question btw.
