Extremely high World Latency while my home connession is good

As the title states, my internet connection is good and stable (i performed multiple tests while playing), but i literally can’t play the game since 11.0.5 because my Latency (World) keeps going up to the thousands. The game simply stops working, spells are not cast and any interaction with the world does not happen. My Latency (home) stays at 50ish, as it’s always been for me. This doesn’t happen all the time, but I can’t play for more than 4-5 minutes without it happening. When it happens, I usually also can’t even log back in for some time, all while monitoring my connection and seeing no changes and no problems outside of WoW. I can’t seem to get any help so i’m writing here to see if someone else is having similar issues and hopefully get some solution. I have tried disabling all the addons (they are kept up to date anyways) but nothing changes.

UPDATE: after not playing for 3 days ( I was on vacation) I came back to find WoW running just fine, all the aforementioned issues seem gone. however, I’m leaving the post here, because A LOT of people are still experiencing the same problem. I can’t help with a fix because I literally didn’t do anything new, i was just away for 3 days. Every troubleshooting i had tried had failed and suppot was completely useless.

I have the same problem as of today.
Home network and latency is fine, World is above 1000, often 1800 and also can’t do delves due to this as environment is unforgiving of this amount of latency.
Would love to have this looked into by the Blues please.

Same here, playing from Athens Greece. Its really messed up, 99% of the time my pings are 57/57, today it reached even 5 digits!

Dont worry, Blizzard pee on this. Your job is to pay, play and cry. I can see since 3 weeks huge ping loss and delay on ae1-br01-eqfr5.as57976.net. I ve made some tickets and they did nothing to fix.

Same here. I’m having issues since last week. My internet is fine and I don’t have problems with any other service/game.

I don’t know what’s going on, but we deserve some help here. At the end of the day we’re paying a sub here.

Can totally confirm! I was tripping for a few days thinking it was just my connection, but after double-checking, it’s definitely something off on their end. The input lag is massive.

So yeah it’s really just them making a mess and there is no troubleshooting we can actually do to fix the issue. I hope they can at least recognize the problem and take action quickly

I mean it’s ridiculous , 3 out of 4 raids for like 1-1,5h I shoot up to like 20k world ms. Everything else is totally fine ( discord included ) . It’s just the game .

Would a vpn help

Oh god, I have the exactly same problem for the last 2 weeks, every other day around 22h00 to 00h00 CET I lag like this only in wow. I contacted to support to have a generic reply, but I see there’s more people affected by this.

By any chance, any of you are located in Portugal using MEO services?

I’m having the same problem since last week Wednesday. I have reinstalled the game, checked with my ISP and even checked my ping to other games in the same region and WoW is the only game with this problem.

I even tried to log a support call with them and got, frankly, the most pathetic customer service response I could have imagined “Since you’ve exhausted the steps available through customer support, the next best course is to seek assistance from the broader community through forums, consult with a local tech expert, or contact your Internet Service Provider if you suspect a connection issue”

The articles linked in the response from the game master didn’t even go anywhere.

I even tried tweeting them but they “weren’t tracking any known issues” but every other post on this forum points to problems with the game from last week Wednesday.

They’re flatly refusing to investigate the issue which, to me, is clearly negligent! We got your $90 for the mount now piss off…

Same here.
The game has become unplayable at the moment. My latency sometimes jumps up to 3000 or more! Every other game works just fine, so i wonder what is going on?
I really hope, they will fix it soon.

Yeah that’s basically the same that happened to me, didn’t really get any real support

I’ve been asking around and was able to find 2 more persons based in Portugal using the same ISP as me (MEO), and they suffered this lag issues at the exact same times and ammounts, at Wednesday night and Sunday night, oddly enough at the exact same time has big football matches were happening too :rofl:. This seems to be some kind of re-routing problem affecting only WOW and only some ISP… So I’m guessing that WOW team will tell us that it’s a ISP problem and ISP will tell us that it’s a wow problem, Lose Lose situation for us :hugs:

Yes, it’s clear that they don’t care so I’m pushing for refunds on the mount and my 12-month sub. I’ve had enough.
