Am I the only one? Patch at around 250MB is trying to download for 5h.. My internet is stable, fast and reliable.. Usually this should download in few seconds, but lately updates are extremely weird and slow.
same same also took ages to start
Yesterday it took me almost an hour to resubscribe to the game, because the page just wouldn’t load.
That can’t be good for business.
You connection to your ISP might be, however the connection to a server depends on all the paths. It could be an issue with Blizzard or an issue with a node between your ISP and Blizzard.
if you need to wait for hightraffic time to resub ur not the target audience. theyre not trying to bring new subs in…hello..?? RAF is dead. game isnt accessible or new friendly…lore/crafting/questing experience is a MESS no new player would ever make sense of it unless they play classic wow…then tbc then wotlk etc seperately
Was it ever that successful outside of people creating second accounts for the rewards.
Have you checked the game settings in the Battle.net app? My download had the limiter set to 1000kbps, once i unchecked it, took seconds. No idea why it came back on. Might be worth checking.
For blizzard ,jito well being is top priority .they want jito to relax and sip on martini on beach . ![]()
That was checked to me too, for whatever reason, but unchecking it didn’t solve issue anyway.. I could start the game just with .exe file and skip patching, but it took more than an hour just for 200mb.. And it happened in similar way for last few patches
Used to be that you could set the download limiter to 0kbps to allow unlimited bandwidth, but it seems you can’t do that now
Go battle.net launchers settings, tweak these options. Uncheck the boxes you dont want to have limit as they are for setting max values.

I did not know about download speed for wow.
Why is it there? I haven’t seen this option for other games. What is the purpose of it?
Just basic applications settings found in most app, Steam, Origin etc. Why is it there? It is there so you can control the download speed of the application. You can uncheck them from the options if wish to have unlimited download speed. Same option from Steam as example.

In battle.net app you uncheck these from settings, they are for max values so by unchecking the box you set no limit

Unfortunately it was not about those settings. Sometimes even initializing take very much time, my bet is that’s something on blizzard end.. Never had those issues up until prepatch
If I’m downloading the game it will only download at around 8.4 Mb/s and takes hours to download.
If I download a Steam game it downloads at around 63 Mb/s, which is about the download speed of the connection that I have.
So for WoW updates, I set it to 10000 Kb/s as I know with WoW there’s not much point putting it any higher.
Might help using a VPN if it’s a routing issue with your ISP… could be going through a congested point.
Latest Updates: 999999 KB/s
Pre-release Content: 999999 KB/s
It is what I have now, maybe it helps you!
You should share your bandwidth.
I can give you my solution which works for me every time
Spread tether from your mobile phone data transmition (not for mtour regular home wifi) and connect your computer to that - then restart battlenet
Works for me every time
