What happens if enough of the player base starts to unofficially ignore certain aspects of lore? There are parts of the lore added because of fan sentiment. Can parts of the lore be subtracted in the same manner?
True, one NPC messing up closing a time portal gave us Azmerloth, that murloc-version of the Deathwing raid, so it has been established that dragons messing up can cause pretty much any weird contrivance to become reality.
