Faction change, 7 days support ticket

Hey there,

Over the past few days I’ve been nameswapping two characters, every single time I’ve waited over 24 hours before contacting support after which they gracefully changed my character names manually since apparently the system can’t even handle a simple name change. I remember this process taking less than 5 minutes in the past, but anyway…

I was planning on faction swapping one of the characters as well. This is where I ran into even more problems: I cannot faction change my character because the system thinks it still has a name change pending (I think that’s the reason).

Here’s the literal message:

  • This character already has a pending service. Please wait until that is complete to try again. There was a problem with your order. Please try again.

(Was this written by a baby A.I or something?)

Before anyone asks: Yes, all the payments have gone through, Blizzard has my money.

I’ve been in ticket queue for over 4 days now and I think it’s getting ridiculous. It’s been over a week for the 2 name changes and this faction change combined.

Is there anything else I can do or do I just have to accept that I paid 30 (50 in total) euros to sit in a queue for days on end?

Yes, the queues are long just now, but a combination of realm consolidation and the new release in Classic plus a pvp ban wave, mean you have to be patient, I’m afraid.

The queues do seem to be about 7 days but don’t close the ticket and open another or you’ll go to the back of the queue. Normally payment problems are dealt with quite quickly but there’s nothing you can do to hurry it, I’m afraid.

I have had worse support from other companies, the one behind age of conan for one, 4 months for a ticket to be answered and they couldn’t even fix my naked character.

Ananda is unfortunately correct here, and we have to ask everyone to wait for their tickets to be answered in turn. This forum, or other contact options are not intended to be shortcuts for ticket responses.

As mentioned, please do not close or reopen your ticket as you’d be put at the back of the line, and do not open duplicate tickets either as that will only make the overall queue larger for us, slowing down the team’s ability to respond to all tickets.

The blizzard staff that operate the forums, are not GM’s, and I believe not allowed to allow the forums to be used to bypass ticket queues. That means no contacting GM’s on your behalf.

A ticket is the only way forwards.
