IF you choose to give blizzard 30 euros for the faction change in this period YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR ECHOED EPHEMERA PROGRESS. Do not faction change !!! I lost 20 echoed ephemera for my 2 weeks of work due to this. Apparently Blizzard doesn’t like receiving money so DO NOT FACTION CHANGE if you want to keep your Echoed Ephemera and not be 2-3 weeks BEHIND

I did and they said they could not care less about it [GM name removed]. Imagine doing this in week 5, after gathering 45 Ephemera , GIVING BLIZZARD 30 EUROS, and then losing all that progress. And what does Blizzard say ? Sorry we don’t care we took your money. Also we don’t care about the money we lose by people knowing this and not using the service anymore. Smart.

Try maybe in Latest Support/Customer Support topics - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com) and tell them about the experience you had with the CS.

@OP:
You can submit a bug report on the US forums or through the ingame bug report option. Both lands at the same team responsible for this. You may not receive a response after submitting such.

Just wanted to ask for your opinion on this situation : you play for 4 weeks, you are timegated at 10 tokens per week. You raise 40 tokens then you wanna faction change. You use their service, you pay them money, and then they take your 40 tokens away. Imagine that happen to you, what would you think ?

I was going to suggest this is the most common cause for losing any quest or progress in it.

That was rolled out as a fix for the bug with Ephemera not dropping properly, I don’t think it was specific to any faction change. However the big question is, did your quest migrate faction with you?

Nothing new tbh. i faction changed during cata or mop. I pretty much lost all achievements then and also some mounts like the brewfest mounts wich i both had.

Dont pay for factions changes. It costs too much for something wich removes things you earned. Just start a new character

Hi Ravenash,

While this is technically correct and in line with how all faction changes work (you can read more about it here), we agree that this quest warrants an exception and have made changes to allow progress to be kept through a faction change.

As for restoring lost progress that would still be an exception and up to the Game Master team to decide, though given this recent development I’d recommend following up in your most recent ticket if you don’t already have one open.

Its not exactly news that you loose quest progress from faction changes… pretty sure there is even a warning when you initiate faction change that some quest progress ect might be lost…

Pretty sure you’re given warnings about quest progressions when faction changing, been like that as far back as I can remember.
