Faction Change

Hello, I’m thinking about buying a faction change so i can change my Horde character to the Alliance. Can someone tell me what will I lose?

Harder to quest in warmode, do battlegrounds and worse dps racials.

iirc, and i can be wrong, if you faction change your character you ll lose all war campaign progress. or something like that.

you ll keep all the reputations but you lose something in the process, just not quite sure anmore what it is.

edit:

Common Problems

* My quest log was cleared when changing factions

  • Paid a faction change and I lost my progress towards Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder
  • I earned A Nation United in the Alliance and was not converted to Zandalar Forever!

Any quests in progress will be abandoned when you change factions.

In addition, faction-specific quests and achievements won’t be converted to their counterpart in the new faction. As a result, you will need to complete the War Campaign on your new faction, even if you already completed the opposite faction campaign.

If your character has changed factions more than once, you will still need to complete the campaign again on your new faction - even if you’ve completed it on a previous version of that character on the same faction.

Not sure if you’ll lose it or you’ll be unable to change faction, but get everything in your mail box.

you lose a lot of quest-related things. you have to reunlock the boat teleports to kul tiras/zandalar, for example.

Campaign quest line is totally reset when you change faction. It’s quite fast to blast through it again but do take that into account.

Loosing well… The massive player base.
Besides, I would not recommend to transfer if you want to discover more and story, it’s better to level up!

Nothing! You will even gain some honour for being on the good side. :ok_hand:

Bull, my alt is an Alliance Mage and not once did he get ganked [excluding Weekly PvP Zones] with WM on.

If anything, I find Alliance frequently outnumber Horde whenever I’m trying to go for the War Supply drop in Nazjatar.

It’s as though people aren’t aware about Sharding…

On my alliance character there are 2-3 hordes vs 1 alliance and it’s very hard to even get an elite killed because hordes almost always tag them. Many times when I get the elite to 20% hordes ambush me and tag the mob.

It’s the same when I play my horde character but the opposite, I can pretty much chill because I know alliance hardly ever attacks me since we outnumber them.

Your server and sharding must be very furtunate because I never really heard that alliance had it easy in warmode witch is why they are given +30% bonus and a nice chest if they kill 25 hordes.

It’s all anecdotal.

Why would you say wrong things to further disencourage people from playing Alliance?

Nice bait thread /10 is it weekend?

You will lose majority of eu playerbase, m+ groups , rare camp groups, raid groups including to ghuun, jaina etc that are up 24/7 and legacy transmog farm raids (legion).
You will lose win rate in bgs 65% or more.
You will lose being the favourite faction of the devs that screams “fur da horddde” on blizzcon and makes fun of the “alliance”
You will lose the free 10% warmode buff without any risks. As alliance you’ll get ganked esp in wq zones/assaults.
You will get longer random dungeon queues in 10-120 levelling as most alliance rerolled to horde for sl, the rest are on a break or just quit all together

445 scrap trash isn’t nice chest dear. It was “OK” (450?460?) for a week before the salty tears of horde crybabies corroded the fabric of the forums and seeped into the developers’ keyboards, undoing the code and nerfing it to the ground.

It is only more difficult if you ain’t a psychopath who can 1v2/1v3. It is much more satisfying getting the 30% bonus rewards by forcefully taking away quest objectives from zugzugs. Still you might struggle especially right after new patches or expansion launches a bit yea so Shwosh is not fully wrong, partly right. If you are a casual with low iLvL stay WM off.

I have an old friend on my friendlist, he’s having 7-8 match winstreaks in battlegrounds by playing with PvP community players. Alliance sucks especially in Epic battlegrounds, Shwosh partly right again.

Yeah, you’re about a year or two late on your information.

No?

Alliance got buffed so they at least have 1 useful buff while the most played races for horde have 2-3 useful racials.

Top guilds go horde, fanboys follow them and pvp players don’t like having a disadvantage.

Don’t shoot the messenger.
