Will we be able to faction change any time soon?

Because it isn’t in the spirit of classic. I think they would do better to keep to the spirit of phase 1, instead of how phase 2 & 3 have strayed from the path.
What about this season is remotely close to “in the spirit of classic” to you?
No point opening faction change on PvP server cause it would ruin the balance. Everyone will want to go horde but it’s locked anyway.
As for PvE serv i don’t know if there would be that many interested to faction change. You may as well pick another server to play the other faction.

Phase 1 was still in the spirit of classic with some new abilities tacked on. Phase 2 and three strayed from this, but they should still try to keep things in check unlike how they have handled phase 3
You can summarize the whole sod exp in this one sentence so might as well give us faction change
Conformity towards changes making the game more retail-like will only kill the game. The biggest reason why people flocked to classic, hc and sod phase 1 is because it’s different from retail. If you want retail or cataclysm, they are right there for you.

Nah. It’s somewhere in-between retail and classic, but neither of them. There are many retail systems missing from season of discovery that were added in later expansions, many conveniences. Adding microtransactions like faction changes might not seem like much but that would open the floodgates for other things.
If we add things like this for convenience why not go a step further? It becomes a snowball effect that gets out of control when it begins motion. Gameplay and economy aside we don’t need to bring even more retail here just because it’s strayed from that on the other systems.

Do you want it to change even more then? When is it enough or should it keep going until it’s fully retail? Why should someone choose to play this instead of retail then if retail is the same but better with more content?

I never said that current sod is in the spirit of classic. Phase 1 was and I think they should try and replicate those improvements instead of what they’ve done in phase two & three.
It all went downhill starting from the moment they slapped 100% Xp/gold boost and nerfed raiding prices
