I can imagine that the respective mount’s faction restrictions will be lifted once the factions formally merge in an expansion or two.
The bee mount should be usable by the Horde aswell.

I agree with that but spec specific mounts are kinda annoying. Some classes can use their all mounts like warlocks or hunters but as a mage main i want to use a fire disc mith my fancy red transmog.

Never! The Bee mount was blizzards way of apologizing to Alliance players for all the Horde bias in the game.
I have to admit I find it odd that some are spec locked at this stage and others can just use any recolour of their class specific mounts. That could easily have it’s restrictions loosened like they did with the mage tower weapons.
There is no Horde bias.
