Fallen Charger droprate needs to be fixed

Today I tried another go at the Fallen Charger mount. I am furious and exhausted to say the least. I have waited nine hours in total for this rare to spawn. Because it could spawn
“at any moment” as the last kill was unknown to everyone. In total I have made
10 attempts to get this mount in which i have waited several hours ranging between 4 and, as of now my new record, 9 hours. And what do I get? A broken horseshoe and some stygia as reward for not knowing when it can spawn because this is unpredictable.

Nine whole hours in which i could have done much more instead of just camping one zone and waiting for just stygia as a result.

The droprate on this mount needs to be fixed or the spawntime needs to be severely reworked.
Because just waiting for this mount is like stealing gametime from subscribers who already have spent hours waiting on this rare.

See, this kind of mount I consider to be a “I was there when it spawned, I killed it, and I was lucky enough to get the mount”.

It’s not supposed to be a mount that you farm for. Thats why it has a long and random spawn rate with a low drop.

If you get it, feel good, if you don’t get it, find another mount.

I am so glad I farmed it early when we could kill it repeatedly all day for drop chance. It wasn’t a fun way to spend my time but I got the mount.

The multispawm points are also a pain. They love to do that for some reason.

I hope you get lucky soon :four_leaf_clover:

It was worth it back when you could join other groups for it. Now I bet it’s just a horrible experience. There are better mounts to farm that are not half as frustrating.

These sudden spawn timers with a ridiculous drop chance really need to go away. I got mine but later on when I was doing achievements in the Maw, I suddenly discovered that I killed FC with my alts. Got to kill all those rares again with my alt only because of charger

Got it first kill. Thought it was 100%

Silly they can’t fly…

Same, ran on me while doing the assault if I remember right. I made a group but I think I was the only one to get it, or at least out of 40 people only few got it. This was on the first week it was available and since then I think they’ve adjusted the drop rate.

So lucky, I think I spent two days joining groups to kill it repeatedly.

You should spend more time with me so I can rub my luck off on you :smirk:

Have you seen the drop chance on some of the crafting materials for the mounts and pets in Zereth Mortis. It’s the same garbage. That is what you get, when the developers doesn’t play the game. The game is a joke, and there is a reason why so many people stopped playing. If/when i get my keymaster mount, i will also unsubscribe

I do like a mount farm myself (got my Deathcharger from Startholme this week, yay) but I just can’t bring myself to do these spawn camping types. I don’t have TLPD and likely never will.
Don’t know how many times I ran Stratholme or will run Dragon Soul (I don’t count) but I’ll do these a lot yet I just can’t stand around waiting for a spawn.

Super gratz!

I have played WoW forever, I have only seen that drop once.

Disagree you here.

Farming rare drops have been a thing forever.

I remember back in Vanilla killing over 5000 Azure Whelplings for the Azure Whelpling Pet. It felt great when I got it.

Farming ZM is a much quick process than that took me.

The fact is, farming Rare drops is a core part of the game. It’s just that the play base has become collectors, and some of them need to collect everything.

Yet some of the things never seems to drop. Plus they don’t even look good. I have just tried to get it, to increase the number of mounts i have, for the achivement. But it’s personal preferance

See that’s when I decide to move on.

Looks bad, don’t want

So as an alchy feral/resto i thought i would try and get the vial of the sands mount/sandstone drake. Leveled up archeology to max. Did the mantid lorewalkers trick.

After about 250 fragments that were tolvir i lost the will to continue. In over 200 completed fragments i saw two jars. TWO.

If there is one thing to gripe about in this game then it has to be this BS RNG and ridiculous waits/time gated content and drop rates.

This whole game revolves essentially around time. Time to use quest items. They are on timers, from a few seconds to a full 12 minutes or more. Just to use a quest item.

No, you cant complete your 5 missions in legion at the mission table at once. They were once gated at 1 per day and you needed 5 so that was 5 days of just waiting to advance a quest. BS

If blizzard cant see that these actions are enough to drive people away from this game then they need to have their heads examined.

They really need to think hard about how much they want to string people along. This game is not as big as it once was and there are far less people now and a lot of those dont even pay with real life money as they sell boosts or pay for sub with gold.

Drop rates are only there to prolong subs. No other reason. Time gating is only there to prolong subs. No other reason. Who cares if somebody does the whole expansion quests in one afternoon? Does this affect me in any way? Not really. So why do it?

Spawns this rare shouldn’t be low drop chance too. If you found a time-lost protodrake (which took lots of effort to find), killing the thing meant you had the mount. Rare spawn and low chance is just… cruel.

Pretty much this.

Most shadowlands mounts require a group, and some others can be obtained without a group.

The bad thing about starting to mount collect so late in the expansion is barely anyone is doing it, as most people already have them.

I’m just doing it to get to 100 mounts so I can win a free Dragonhawk.

Back then, I didn’t really care for mount collecting and only collected the ones I really wanted. Which is why my collection is rather small.
