Fallen order, is it bugged?

Hey all,

Every place says kyrian is the best for mw. However i wanted to do my own thing and thought fallen order looked really nice. A 3 minute cooldown that does healing and dps. I thought that this skill could help me push quite a bit of damage on bosses while also healing which, combines with fistweaving legendary, would combine for a lot of damage. The sad part however is that in the 24 seconds that this skill is active it deals an average total of 6-10k damage (seen 2k and 14k aswell). Then i hear you thinking that it would prob do a lot of healing, but that also ain’t something to write home about.
My question is: is this how the skill is meant to function or is it bugged? My feeling says its bugged since the variance of damage is so large.

None of our covenants do a lot of healing or damage. The best for damage is Necrolord I believe (and best for raiding, by a very tiny margin). Kyrian is probably the play if you care about m+ though. Unless you have a dedicated team, then Venthyr is best because no one plays Venthyr and you want to use the bonuses in Sanguine Depths and Halls.

Also, the monks can be CC’d and killed. So if the A.I. decides to be stupid fallen order monks are going to do jack sht in fights where you have to dodge stuff etc.

I feel like this cd could be a real nice dps cooldown, but atm it just does a whole lot of nothing

isn’t this the ability that got nerfed because it used to be able to solo people in arenas while the caster was just standing idle?

The monks that spawn are random, you can get either all healing or all dps or in between. The RNG aspect of it is undesirable for any type of content since you don’t know what you get. So let’s say a high damage phase is incoming, and so you pop your cool downs, as you should. Surprise, you get all dps. Not enough healing. You die.

This is one of the reasons people recommend any of the other covenants. Nightfae does damage and healing, the pattern may be a bit random but you at least know where you need to face and you know what to expect.

Necrolord is a targetable area type of spell, Kyrian is a powerful self buff, you get essence font reset + area healing on channel start and end + increased mastery. Also, Kyrian is the best synergy with Ancient Monastery.

As long as Venthyr remains random, well, you either get lucky and you get the adds that you need in that situation, or you can get the complete opposite.

This is false, as MW you wil ALWAYS spawn 4 crane monks that heal in it’s duration.

Can’t say I noticed it when I played with the spell.

Regardless, still not impressive.

I am unsure if it is bugged, but I am probably one of very few Venthyr brewmasters looking at progressing mythic and was looking at my logs of our HC raid last night and realised nearly 30% of the hits miss ( I am unsure to the reason I believe it is due to the tiger monks dual wielding which means they have a higher chance to miss). This covenant ability is so frustrating not resetting on a wipe, so if you force a wipe 1 minute into a fight you have to wait 2 full minutes for the ability to come back. Its not affected by the 30 seconds cooldown reduction power in Torghast among other things.
