Falling star How?

returning player giving the new spec a go.

Ive played for a level so far (im 81 and a bit) and as yet i have not come even close to managing to get a falling star off. the bar just drops like a rock it feels completely impossible to build up the souls in the time to manage to get one off.

is this normal will it get better with levels?

am i missing something fundamental here?

Cast Devour a few times to drop souls. Once there are enough of them, cast Void Ray, and after Void Ray you always get Moment of Craving, which gathers all the souls around you. Of course, you do this during Void Metamorphosis. At level 82 I do two such rotations and I get Collapsing Star
