We all knew that she won’t get killed off, despite the atrocities the character has done. Just like in the BFA cinematic she’ll turn into banshee form and fly away, but this time she’ll be leaving a loot chest behind.
We also won’t see the back off annoying/been around too long characters… like Thrall/Anduin/Tyrande/etc.
There is still a tiiiiiiny little bit of hope that Bane of the Banshee queen is because of the tile Bane of the fallen King which was the title for killing Arthas on 10man Heroic.
It most certainly wont be and she survives but…ah who am i kidding. Ofc shes going to survive with her biggest fanboy being the lore lead dev.
Honestly I think all the “Famed XXX” are super lame. Kinda devaluates the title. Being the first (or the top 100 now) and getting the typical “Famed Slayer of Ghuun” or whatever sounds so bad, uninspired and unoriginal, you can’t even really style with it.
In comparison before you had titles like Conqueror of Naxxramas, Death’s Demise and so on, they were all unque and badass.
Blizzard has run out of ideas and came up with the most boring solution
Not to mention you can get the title by simply being in a guild that has Famed and get the title as long as you have CE for that corresponding tier even if you get it during the last lockout. Or that you lose the title if you leave a guild with famed even if you were part of the kill.
Agreeing with this. Tying the “Famed Slayer of X” to the guild, rather than the characters, is quite silly. That being said, imagine being part of a world 100 guild, but not playing a fotm class thus you’re benched on the final boss for insert mandatory soak immunity class here and don’t get the title because the next ID, 50 more guilds have killed the boss.
Something inbetween would’ve been nice, such as getting the title tied to your character if you’re part of a first kill, and everybody who wasn’t part of a first kill only receiving the title while they’re in the guild.
Yeah I misunderstood that.
You mean players not in for the kill would get it only while they stay in the guild.
But that is not fair for people who are sat for the final boss.
Maybe a better solution would be that only players who have been in the guild and participating to raids for X number of months get it, but that would not be fair for new members, I guess.
It’d be exactly as it is right now for players who sat for the final boss and tied to the character for people who were part of the very first kill, is what I’m suggesting.
It’s honestly irrelevant as well because it’s not getting changed any time soon, so this is purely hypothetical.
Which in return would get you banned. Just like they purged chinese guilds from the hall of fame for selling Halls Boosts. Going so far as to call the people that got boosted and ask them questions regarding the encounter and if they answered wrong they would get booted.
So at least in regards of PvE boosts Blizzard clearly drew the line at the Halls of Fame.
These famed titles are silly. I have top 1000 CE Ghuun and Jaina and I can just join a guild who had top 100 back then and use the famed title too. Every noob can have them
