So, I’ve decided to do these various Family Pet Battler Achievements, and I feel I’ve done well. I’ve solved by far most of the fights by myself and used guides when totally stuck.
I’m now doing Family Exorcist in Shadowland and I’m about to go nuts - HOW can I beat Rotgut with only birdies? I can’t say I’ve been especially near even, this far, despite having tried every guide I could find. (+ probably 100 of my own setups)
Today I found a strategy that’s supposed to be bulletproof, that includes 2 Voidglowers of the right breed - problem is that I have no such fowl in my 1500 strong collection, and it seems like a ridiculous amount of work to become eligible to get such ones. (I was out of game during that exp)
Can anybody PLS help me?

So now to the problem battle. First, let’s check the easy way.
Defeat 9 Master Tamers in the Shadowlands with a team of all level 25 Flying pets
Defeat NINE. Out of the eleven battles.
So just skip that one?
Or is it a matter of pride that you want to beat them all?

My oh my… 9 out of 11 you say? The text says 9 out of 10, but point taken - I might even have noticed it, if I ever took the time to focus 
Thing is, I wouldn’t left it anyway, bcz Fliers just happened to be the last group I did on Rotgut, and I had already spent quite a lot of time on that spot, doing the others.
But, now to the good news; I actually managed to take him with 3 birdies; 2 destruction Shore Butterflies and a Parasitic Boarfly. It wasn’t exactly on the first attempt, and it took a couple of trips to Zuldazar to swap breed on my Butterflies, but with that, a miss and a non-crit from that bl#dy last pet, I finally managed.
I’ve done the 3 ones at Mal now, pls say I’m over the worst…?
EDIT; Now I see it… Sorry, OK! 9 out of the 11, and you’ll get the achievement, but you have to do all groups of pets at those 9… Pls say I got it right this time…!?
Well, I’ve done them all, so I think I gonna continue on that path. But thanks a lot!

I count 11. So you can skip 2 for each Family, and they don’t have to be the same 2 every Family. You might skip Rotgut and Maximilian for Flying, Faryl and Thenia for Aquatic, Glitterdust and Eyegor for Critter, and so on.

My advice: You make these Family achievements tough on yourself if you insist on cramming them all together, and, as you say, spending quite a lot of time on that spot, doing all the Families one after the other. If yuu give yourself a break, come back later, it’s less frustrating.
You can keep track ofyour progress through all the Family achievements with thetiny addon Family Familiar Helper, from the author of Rematch. It doesn’t do much, just shows you which battles you have completed for which families, but I found that very helpful.
The worst is Faryl Aquatic. That’s the only one I count as really bad, There are some strats that will get you there if you are willing to repeat a few times, but it’s pretty tough. If you are impatient, just put that one on your Skip list for Aquatic.
