Far too much CC ingame

The amount of CC that can be pulled off in this game is game-breaking. There is SO much CC, it feels like there’s 0 DR at all.

kekw fire mages with 3 schools of magic and all schools having a form of cc within them much fun.

Ring of frost should be frost mage only.
And that nightfae conduit that slows you for 90% after each cc needs to go.

And Frost Nova. Fire mages should have an alternative to it. Makes no sense that a FIRE mage uses frost to Cc people at all, especially when they already have Dragon Breath so frequently that it DRs with itself

They could start with retri pala blind functioning like a stun without stun dr, same for frost dk.

Frost dk blind is not the same as ret pala’s blind.

Ret’s blind doesn’t break at all on holy damage, while dk’s blind has a threshold and works just like any fear effect.

more of a problem are those passive cc procs from covenants that end up annoying. any any passive sh*it like we had with conflag root. even grip aura from dk is pretty stupid but falling under the radar cause dk is not meta^^

It is true that the wording and mechanics are different, but for some reason, in practice it both ends up being the same. I should not lose majority of my life within a blind and still be cced unable to use anything. Even stuns allow me to use certain defense or abilities. Blind does not. Its ridiculous to get blinded by ret at 100% and ending up killed before it ends.

Def not true. Dks blind breaks o ~3-5k damage, while ret can burst you up while in blind. Even tho it seems retarded, you can counter it by not stacking with your teammate.

Ret’s blind is more of a 2s tactic, since in 3s is close to useless, and having much more benefit from short hoj.

Blast wave? Yeah would be cool for sure

Doesnt sound right, but I cant find any legit info about it either. Thats like one hit and it should break. Thats far from reality.

Blinding sleet:

Targets in a cone in front of you are blinded, causing them to wander disoriented for 5 sec. Damage may cancel the effect.

When Blinding Sleet ends, enemies are slowed by 50% for 6 sec.

Howl of Terror

Let loose a terrifying howl, causing 5 enemies within 10 yds to flee in fear, disorienting them for 20 sec. Damage may cancel the effect.

Blinding Lights

Emits dazzling light in all directions, blinding enemies within 10 yards, causing them to wander disoriented for 6 sec. Non-Holy damage will break the disorient effect.

See the difference? DKs blind is just like howl of terror, while paladin’s is states it breaks only from non holy damage.

I know, how these abilities work. I can see the difference between dk and ret. I can read. I just know that dk blind doesnt break after taking 3k dmg, because Im usually sitting it full or close to full duration, then get silenced and eat few other stuns if they have any.

Because none is hitting you. I can assure that it can sustain only 1 oblit or 1 frost strike worth of damage. Blind is not used to kill, but to set up a go or to peel.

I think it does tbh, I deathed a lot of dk db and sw death do like 3-4k without the range execute.

i disagree. We had way more CC in the past with less DR and it was fine.

Someone have a lot of CC, but glass cannons like rogue, some 1 have only 1 stun, but tanks - warriors - its ok. Spam CC-s shouldn’t exist like cheap shots, fear, poly, cyclone, roots e.t.c.
