HUmm, a very strange thing happening in Nagrand this days after “bot cleanup”. At about 8 (server time EU) in the morning there in almost imposible to get Mote of Air or or ores. Its just like a hord of Bots has taken over Nagrand. This happen almost every day at the same time. Have also seen bots that come`s online on a spawn spot and get offline right after thay have looted the Mote or deposit.
Why has not Blizzard been able to solw this bot problem in 20 Years ?

It’s apparently hard to solve revenue loss. Back in the day there were far fewer bots, and they actually had game masters (GMs) managing the situation.
Went to the Mana Thistle island in Netherstorm yesterday hoping to get one. But, no.
2 Mage bots constantly falling into ground to keep their hp at 10-20% for faster picks.
5 bots hovering in air no guild 1100gs epicflying.
2 bots flying in circles same pathing for hours..

How do you know these all are bots? Are you just calling bots everyone around you? Someone called me bot for using Gargul when I was selling enchants. People really throw words around losing all their meaning.
I’m not calling random players bots. I’m talking about repeatable, predictable patterns. Same flight paths for hours, instant node logging, identical behavior loops.
After a while it’s less guessing and more pattern recognition from seeing it a hundred times..
To be fair I’ve been an active farmer since pretty much the second week of TBC launch after rushing to 70 and getting all my pre bis/badge farm done the majority of my play time went towards farming mining deposits or herbs and even though I have faced stiff competition especially when the majority of the average players hit 70 and got to the point where they could farm I’ll say that this past month it’s got to the point where open world farming is now just horrid and no longer appealing.
You see peak time was always a nightmare to farm you had so much competition that farming during these hours was just not worth it but then you got the prime farming hours which is early hours of the morning which is when I used to make bank.
This past month even farming early hours of the morning on a Monday-Thursday is just as busy as peak time used to be during the initial hype - if not worse! It’s been getting worse and worse with all these bots hitting 70 now and all out in force constantly doing loops around NS/Terokkar etc it’s always some unguilded Mage or Druid in green gear on an epic flier - if you engage them in combat you can see they are running a script for example engage a Druid and they will go cat form > FF > Mangle if you get them to a certain % HP they will shift back regrowth then back to cat form rinse and repeat - you can tell these are bots scripts just from the way they play and act.
Obviously you are also competing against other players too but with the bots added into the mix it makes it very hard to actually even find anything in the open world nowadays - in Terokkar for example they added more and decreased the spawn time of Terocone but now they are getting picked the moment they spawn - they didn’t used to be this camped.
I used to come on these forums and laugh when people complained about not being able to farm resources because I was able to do so and make decent profit even with the competition but there is just no competing against the amount of bots currently running around on each layer.
It’s got to the point now where I just sit in the AH buying raw gems, cutting and relisting because it’s less frustrating than competing with these bots.
The whole issue is not about imaginary bots. The whole issue is about layering system. This system expands at peak times and shrinks at night time. And megaservers make sure that at every time of day there are enough players to keep world busy and ores contested.
That’s not how WoW is supposed to be played. Like OK, let it be layers. But these layers must not be reduced at night. They should be enough to host peak time and at other times world should not be busy. Nobody asked for competition at 5AM.
This is a singular issue plaguing anniversary servers since beginning. And developers trying to apply band-aid fixes like changing black loti spawns, instead of addressing the core problem. I just don’t understand that.
