Pretty much this. I didn’t get any of the things I wanted. Void elves aren’t gonna get the blood elf hair colors so pretty much Horde got the High elf style, they won’t be able to toggle their void form like Alleria can, night elves won’t have regal/Highborne options and most likely won’t get any new options down the line in Shadowlands.
But they’ve not done anything wrong.
They’ve gone for core-racial themes which I think they’ve nailed, extremely well.
But we’ve got to be honest - if they were going to bring in tabs for all different looks, we’d have seen it at the start.
If we were going to have:
Blood Elf Regular
Blood Elf Farstrider
Blood Elf Magister
Blood Elf Blood Knight
etc
We would have seen this in the Alpha. They’ve not done this and we have to get over it.
I’m sorry you didn’t get your night elf mage-features, but you have to get over it and you have to accept that the druid features were always going to be more, in-your-face.
Blizzard was always going to go for that “Druidic” vibe with their features, followed by the “Priestess” vibe, then everything else afterwards.
The thing is they said new customization options will be for the prepatch. So pretty much means no new options after that :-/
An also trolls got it! They got different tribe options…
And it’s easy for you to say that. You got everything that you mostly wanted by the looks of it, while me and others got NONE of the things we wanted
So - as I said, these features are impossible to please everyone.
Besides, Void Elves get some customization features. What are Nightborne getting? Oh yes, small earrings with a new shade of blue eye color and a blinded purple color.
No skin colours, no extra hair styles…night elves and void elves should actually not take for granted what your getting, considering nightborne aren’t getting anything of real, ground-braking appearances.
- Void elves are getting the skin colors and eyes (sadly not the hair color which shows how Horde will have the real High elf look while the Void elves will be stuck with blue or purple hair…yeah they could have just not done anything) as a compromise because blood elves are getting blue eyes which Alliance players have requested for years.
2.Core races are getting new real options not allied races. And lets be honest Nightborne just look better in terms of models while the Night elves look good awful. At least you have something good!
Nightborne look good?
So you didn’t see the endless forum threads about how awful the character models look and how people wanted the NPC models and we DIDN’T get what we wanted?
For me, the model has grown on me after seeing it for nearly two years, but it isn’t what nightborne fans wanted.
I was saying when compared to the Night Elf models. Compared to the Legion ones I too am disappointed.
Nightborne still have less than Void Elves and are getting less new features.
Why? Because Blizzard doesn’t care about Nightborne at this point.
They only care for Night Elves, Void Elves and Blood Elves.
Since they are getting new earrings (which would be what kind of earrings I would want for my Night elves , honestly I would trade all the night elf options to the Nightborne so I can get their cool hairstyles which really is what a Highborne would have) new eye colors I’m sure they will get new options as well
They are getting 1 set of small earrings as well as an eye color change.
The point is, the character Leia will still look the exact same as she does now, after Shadowlands releases, whilst your avatar gets the chance to actually look different, as does night elf and blood elf avatars.
Most of my characters will still look the same, besides some getting new gear and leaves in their hair
I said “will get the chance to”, not that they will look different.
Leia won’t look different.
Just wait until they’ll get the new options. They’ll look even better than Night elves (they already do though)
So obviously your view is the right one and all those people who made threads and said “Blizz, this isn’t what we wanted” are wrong?
And why should I wait, until after Shadowlands releases? Void Elves get new stuff before the expansion and Nightborne players are suppose to just sit around and look at everyone else getting good stuff whilst we just get blatantly ignored.
And the only reason why you think they’ll look better is because you want night elf mage-looking features and you didn’t get as many as you wanted…tough. Until Nightborne get there’s, you won’t get sympathy from me, because as usual, we Nightborne players have to sit around whilst all other elves get good things.
I’m just trying to make a positive statement that’s all. I understand you. But they’ll hopefully get them soon. They already got new eyes and a pair of earrings who’s to say they won’t get more. I have a two Nightborne characters and I also hope they’ll get new things. I really want those small eyes that the Legion models had.
My body is perfect okay, it’s you Night Elves who had weird waists, long arms and big hands.
Sigh - I wasn’t asking for tabs, though I think they would be nice, nor was I asking for options for each of these.
Farstrider is a unique group with a fantasy that can have a distinctive look, Highborne is another unique famous group with a fantasy who’s look can have a distinctive appearance.
I don’t htink anyone has asked for tabs for every fantasy, but there are certain ones that are far more popular and desired than others.
Maybe you’re a blizzard employee, you seem to spend a lot of time telling people what they should want and shouldn’t. You also seem to know very well what blizzard will do, and what is too much for them.
So will you tell them for us?
But “Farstrider” and “Highborne” are just Blood Elf and Night Elf.
Their is no “Farstrider” facial/body styled-features, because they came with none. They have armor features, just like the Magisters and the Sunwell robe set, which is red, golden and green as well as various other sets and robes such as the Replica Magister’s Regalia and Scarlet Sin’dorei Robes.
The Farstriders’ armor seems to be the Vindictive Gladiator’s Chain Armor from Legion.
What you say can be a feature, can also work with the other sectors. Tattoos in current Blood Elf society are seriously more of a “Magister” thing, because Quel’Thalas’ Grand Magister, uses them.
You can’t pin down what exactly a “Farstrider” feature or “Highborne” feature is or what can be a “distinctive look”, because we don’t have them because the features in general, overlap.
Plus, I’ve already made the point - your idea of “Farstrider” in Blood Elf society isn’t “Farstrider” at all. It’s “Magister” themed, because tattoos - as far as the common lore goes, all except Alleria who left, the Farstriders under Sylvanas and Haldoran after her, never had tattoos. The same also applies to Vereesa and her Silver Covenant.
Only Rommath gained tattoos and again, he’s a Blood Elven Mage.
