I’m going to go ahead and guess predictable?* I.e. it should be less so, i.e. more less, i.e. more less predictable. :yum:

Exploration is certainly a weird one in WoW, because you really don’t explore, do you? You mostly just advance through a zone as the campaign leads you from one corner to the other until you’ve been everywhere, and then you move on to the next place.
You don’t really have true exploration despite the world map being huge and the zones seeming vast in size. You don’t really come across a hidden cave behind a waterfall or a small hole in the ground leading to a giant sub-area or anything like that. Instead it’s all just being presented to you as you go through the leveling.
You don’t really have many easter eggs either in the terrain or hard-to-reach areas. It’s a bit weird given that WoW is otherwise so much about being in the world, yet there’s nothing to explore in it.

Questing is a bit the same. Blizzard really relies on the same design a lot. Fetch, find, kill. Usually in the same quantity, usually nearby, and usually of the same difficulty.
You don’t really come across that orange group quest that sends you half-way across the world to beat some obscure elite in some remote location anymore.
It also isn’t very subtle.

-The Nerubians are attacking our defenses!
-Where!?
-Right here!
-Right next to you??
-Yes! The 5 spiders that are standing aimlessly two feet away from me and my army. Dispose of the foul beasts!
-I mean, you’re decked out in armor and wielding a sword yourself and they’re right next to you and…
-It’s your sacred duty to take upon this quest (otherwise you cannot progress your campaign)!
-I guess…
