Historically hunter. On Classic meta servers, mage and SpeLLclEAVe.

prot warr u will pull 5 mobs at once and oneshot them all plus nobody will dare attack you
Hunter > Paladin > Maybe Warlock > rest
Would go warlock, it’s the fastest solo grinder, and you get free mounts
According to the writer of the most popular leveling guide it’s paladin
He hit 55 in like 21 hours and leveled a dk from starting to 70 in like 6 hours.
The fastest class will be the 1 you enjoy the most, anything else will feel like a poor experience and have a negative impact on leveling speed.
So seriously, play what you enjoy.

I think the first lvl70 on one fresh servers was a Prot Warrior into DK at 55. I mean a bunch of classes can level fast, it’s more about knowing how to level with that class. If your plan is to just go around questing you’re going to have a different experience to someone who dungeon grinds or someone who AOE grinds.
It was a paladin.
Don’t play on fresh, it’s not worth it as in a month they will be exactly like all the others, they are starting to go that way now.
Just play the class you like the most and if it’s Thekal, enjoy the 7 hour queues.
If you must I would say hunter is quickest.
WHICH fresh realm?
If it´s Thekal: Thekal is locked. If you don´t have a char (even lvl 1) already on this realm, you can´t create a new one, and it´s not worth to wait in the queue just to realize, that you can´t create a char.

I checked Giantstalker (this night!) and there were at least 50 Level 1-10 Charakters online.
If one plans to level mainly with dungeons, a fresh realm can still be a good choice, because there are LOTS of groups in every level range right now.
mages can teleport to cities and certain areas making travel easier
Fro my experience :
1 - Pet classes : Hunter / Warlock
2 - Tank spec classes : Warrior / Paladin
3 - Ret Paladin / Enh Shaman
it’s not the lower part but people at 70 farming stuff and from what I have seen GDKP is starting on there.
