WoW has minimal items in the store though … I have to say that I’ve spent more money by buying cosmetics in LoL than by paying for my subscription in WoW.
Pretty much. I haven’t seen the promo. People tend to seek things out when they are disgruntled.
It’s why most visit the forums. Usually if they are stuck on something or unhappy. There is a regular bunch of us forum dwellers who just enjoy helping others and taking part in discussions.

Minimal is still very much something and in a game that already costs so much to play every real money cosmetic is too much in my book.
League is a very predatory game with some pay to win elements present, like unlocking heroes and runes. Actually I don’t know if those are still a thing it’s been so many years since I’ve played it.

A minority use the forums but the comment section in the promotional video is also very indicative of the backlash. You can’t write them off as a “loud minority” when the consensus and discontent is overall the same.
What I can agree with you on is that I too enjoy taking part in discussions and I may have sounded a tad passive-aggressive in my earlier post that you saw as ironically disrespectful. This was not my intention.

Minimal items are in many other games that recquire subscription (or were before they went ftp and after that they added much much more to the stores) are quite common.
LoL has revamped the runes so it no longer recquires it … but there is limited amount of pages, which you can increase, but you can play without them. It is quite more player-friendly now than it was years ago when I started playing it.
But it has been like that in nearly every video posted by Blizz lately (but that is Blizz’s fault mainly)
Yeah I stopped playing it when they started to give free wards to everyone at the start of the game, I didn’t like that and I switched to Dota 2. Dunno what other game would try to change to be more accessible and easier to understand. Hmmmm. 
We dont have to agree. Some regulars I never see eye to eye with but I still enjoy our interactions.
The forums have always been a minority. Most are happily enjoying the game or are disgruntled and have quit without visiting here.
I will wait to see how many pigs I see out and about. Anyone can vote on a YouTube vid. The fox mount got the same treatment and I see plenty of those out and about.

I’ve never tried Dota 2, although I want to, so I can not compare those two, but LoL improved a lot.
Realistically speaking would you listen to those that speak up or those who don’t? I’m not going to deny that many WoW videos on the Youtube channel are being disliked lately because of the frustration of the playerbase, but then I look at some people in the comment sections and Youtube videos by someone like Nixxiom who can criticize the “oopsies” of Activision/Blizzard very well. It isn’t just bandwagon drivel but rather raising awareness.

I really recommend it, but beware since nothing you have learned from playing league helps you in dota. 
When I started Dota after hundreds of hours in league, it was like playing moba for the first time.

Yeah, raising awareness, because Blizzard made many mistakes throughout the years of its existence and it never backlashed so much. But in many cases those discussions are out of topic.
I am not trying to cover their mistakes, but this behaviour from the players won’t be effective.
Why would they hide it, since there clearly are ppl who will buy the mount anyway.

I don’t really think “rising awareness” is the right description. Ppl who want to buy the mount wont care if you tell them that it’s greedy and slimy from Blizzard.
It is still very important to have these comments and topics so Blizzard knows that it doesn’t go through without a notice. It’s like making them know, that some of us wont accept it.
They will still do it, but maybe it wont evolve into something more predatory, like pay to win or those precious lootboxes.
