You have favorite lore races? Then it would probally match with the fitting music too. I took my inspiration from mmo champion.
Not my top 10 but still my top music themes.

Night Song for me. And some covers which I am not sure you would appreciate, oh Erevien because one is about Anduin. :grin:

  • Stormwind theme, glorious, majestic, worthy of the heart of the Alliance and the most powerful city on Azeroth. Oh, by the way, It’s such a popular, iconic and beloved theme that it was adapted in Overwatch too, the most popular Blizzard game by far;
  • Jaina’s Theramore theme, truly touching and memorable, it displays both the cruelty of the madman Garrosh and the suffering that Jaina endured in the terrible night when Theramore was destroyed;
  • Anduin’s theme for similar reasons;
  • The Daughter of the Sea song for obvious reasons. I’ll be honest with you; If you dislike this song, your taste in music is garbage;
  • Boralus theme, especially the first few moments are truly incredible and magnificent, worthy of a rich and powerful people like the Kul Tirans.

  2. Feralas.
  3. Winterspring.
  4. The Magister’s Terrace soundtrack (specifically this part)
  5. Don’t underestimate Stonetalon Mountains. One of my favourite zones, and one of my favourite tracks.
  6. From the OST: the Valley of the Four Winds. You don’t really hear that in the Valley, but I still love it. It resembles some Skyrim music too.
  7. Only a few people know the existence of this, it’s called TS Have It in the game files and you sometimes hear it in Draenor. I love it a lot.
  8. Argent Coliseum, this part.
  9. Storm Peaks! Of course! Who doesn’t love the music there?!
  10. Vortex Pinnacle. Don’t ask me why.

I think that’s it. I’m empty for now. WoW music is great, although I despise Legion music, which was absolutely underwhelming and sometimes just bad. BfA music is better, I like Zuldazar music.

1.Way of the Monk - No other theme gave me such a goosebumps

(Valley of the Four Winds, Krasarang Wilds, Kun’Lai summit also had gorgeous music)

part is so strong it’s the only thing that’s really on pair with my top 1.
3. Mogu theme, so sinister, imperial and dark :

4: Y’shaarj’s theme, that appeared also in Klaxxi’va. I’ve selected specific part that was always fascinating to me. It’s so eerie and beautiful and those whispers sets a wonderful athmospere.
5. Vash’ir music. Specifically the one that is in throne of Tides. Another masterpiece.

Honorable mention: Nightsong.

Love your choices Haiete. My first character was a Tauren so Mulgore’s theme always brings back fond memories for me.

The Suramar theme is fab too.

Operation Gnomeregan - always gets some gnomish pride into my heart.
Wolf at the Gates - This is the track which defines Stormwind and the Alliance in general for me the most. I think of an overpowering mass of Alliance steel raining down on Horde scum. :heart:
Siege of Boralus - I have a soft spot for anything pirate related and siege of Boralus is my favorite dungeon in BfA. (linked my favorite part of it)
Culling of Stratholme - That one is just an absoulute masterpiece. It completely fits the theme of everything falling into darkness. The end of Humanity and the rise of the scourge.
Ironforge Intro - DWARVES!!!

But above all, the track that cries out “warcraft” to me the most, is the end of the vanilla login screen or the even better version of cataclysm

Those are two amazing themes as well. Operation Gnomeregan was really something
 and the Culling theme is great as well. They really knew how to capture the entire atmosphere of the event.

I love that part as well. The Cataclysm login screen theme as a whole was amazing, I am even have the controversial opinion that it was better than the WotLK login theme. Cata music in general was great, it was in touch with their respective zones or locations, and it wasn’t too loud like everything post-MoP.

I forgot to add Ruins of Auberdine to my list.

  1. it has got to be WoD - Times change (and to a lesser extent Siege of Worlds). For all its problems WoD has an amazing soundtrack and I will fight anyone on that.

  2. @Zakkaru I need you help in this, I love the theme what plays when When Rastakhan fights Zul but I cannot find it at all. As the Troll expert you are can you show me the way?

  1. Mainly for Nolstagia of my first character I ever created, Enchanted Forest (couldn’t find anything but an hour version) just makes me feel fuzzy inside. It reminds me of being 8/9 again playing for the first time.

I’m surprised that so few have mentioned Stormwind. Don’t you people have nostalgia? It’s the most memorable theme from Classic by far.

I remember when a remix of that theme played during Varian’s tragic death. I cried for hours after watching that cinematic.

From what I know this music only appears in cinematic it was likely composed for that fight specifically.
Same goes for music score when Talanji leaves her chamber to obliberate Alliance navy - which was altered Intro of “City of Gold”
But I can check it later.
For now my cat wants some attention.

Also, I really love the music that plays at the beginning of the Siege of Boralus cinematic, when the people of Boralus look ominously at Ashvane’s fleet and Katherine gives Jaina a very touching speech about hope. But I am not certain if it’s a particular theme.

This is one of the best troll related tracks, and it’s so deadly - it reminds of a predator cornering it’s pray, that has no chance of surviving. Absolutely loved it and I wished for it to appear in some Darkspear moment. But haaaah. I bet that even devs forgot it exists.

  1. Nightsong, forever and always. It was the first theme that I actually started listening to regularly, just because it’s so good. Night Elves ftw.
  2. Eversong Woods.
  3. Grizzly Hills
  4. Telogrus Rift. Not sure if thats what it’s called, but the music that plays in Telogrus is amazing.

I also really like the music in Drustvar! When the fiddle starts playing (No idea what the actual theme is called, but hopefully you understand.) is dope. Gives me proper October/Autumn vibes.
The Boralus Tavern music too is amazing. Gives me such RPG vibes<3

Nightsong.

And Lament of the Highborne are the only two WoW themes I have the ingame command on a macro for.

Especially Nightsong is my favorite.
