Favourite Allied Race

OK, we have 8 new allies to help us along our path to “glory”. How do you rank then in terms of fun FOR YOU!

Here’s my ranking order

  1. Kul Tiran
  2. LF Draenie
  3. Void Elf
  4. DI Dwarf
  5. HM Tauren
  6. Nightbourne
  7. Zandalari
  8. Mag’har Orc

Interestingly for me - since mid WotLK I’ve been a horde player (mostly) and yet all 4 alliance allies are far more fun (FOR ME) that any of the horde counterparts.

What’s your ranking?

Oh wow, what a surprise. Someone else who loves Kul Tirans like me. Usually superficial people just bash them as nothing more than “fat Humans”.

I love the Kul Tirans, especially their heritage armor. It reminds me of Daelin Proudmoore, the best character in Warcraft by far.

Loving all of em but I’m not too keen on kul’tirans.

Don’t mind us, we just salty we didn’t get thin humans.

  1. Void Elf
  2. Nightborne (they just need more care)
  3. Zandalari

I am not too fond of others, simply as I am finding them not very different from original races in game.
I do not like Kul Tirans, I find them to be a big eye-sore and with a very unhealthy look, I feel they needed more bulk, particularly females who look bloated and bad compared to males. Regardless, I am happy for people who like them.

My favourites are:

1: Nightborne
2: Mag’har Orcs
3: Dark Iron Dwarves
4: Zandalari Trolls
5: Void Elves
6: Lightforged Draenei
7: KT
8: HM

I really don’t like the look of the last two. I unlocked HM because it’s easy, but I can’t bring myself to play my Night Elf Hunter to even bother unlocking the KT. I might do it in the next expansion - who knows?

  1. Void Elves.
  2. Zandalari Trolls.
    .
  3. Dark Iron Dwarves.
    .
  4. Kul Tirans.
  5. Nightborne.
    .
  6. Highmountain Tauren.
    .
  7. Lightforged Draenei.
  8. Mag’har Orcs.

Something like that.

  1. Zandalari
  2. Nightborne
  3. Mag’har
  4. Dark Irons
  5. everything else
  1. Lightforged draenei
  2. Void elf
  3. Maghar orc
  4. Zandalari trolls
  5. Kul titan humans
Haven’t tried others so can’t comment on them

4.Highmountain.

I don’t care for the rest.

  1. Kul Tiran
  2. Mag’har
  3. Void Elf
  4. HM Tauren
  5. DI Dwarf
  6. Zandalari
  7. Nightborne
  8. LF Space Goats

Well, I’ve only unlocked Dark Irons and Mag’har, so far.

Now, I love me some dwarves. Maybe it’s because I’m relatively short (well, I am, compared to my friends who are all in the 185+ range while I’m trying to keep up at 175-ish), or maybe because I’m hairy like some Mediterranian guy. The psychological-complexes reasons don’t matter - I like my Dwarves as I like my coffee: Right here, right now, all the time.

But I can’t resist the allure of these brown-skinned Orcs. There’s just something so perfect about them. It’s as if you took perfection - green Orcs, that is - and made it even more perfectioner. Perfectionest, if you will.

Too bad that race change is overpriced, and I can’t be bothered leveling another warrior just yet.

Lightforged (F) -> void elf (F) -> mag’har (M)

But in all seriousness

  1. Zandalari
  2. Nightborne
  3. Mag’har Orc
  4. Highmountain Tauren
  5. Dark Iron Dwarf
  6. Fat’tiran
  7. Void Elf
  8. Lightforged Draenei

Shame, im mostly playing Alliance and i feel Horde got the most cool ones so far.

Let alone that lore-lol they pulled with Void Elves. Pulled lore out of thin air, and lorewise the void elves are few in numbers. Yet their excuse for High Elves not being playable was that they are few in numbers. It would make more sense lorewise that the High Elves managed to reproduce in numbers the latest years than this monstrosity we got instead.

And the funny part is i don’t even care about High Elves being playable, i just find it quite hypocritical with their excuses.

To be honest I don’t really like any of them. Most of them are afterall clones of existing races or races which whould be hard to call a “race” as in a civilization with hands to spare.

I mean Void elves are so few that counting them as a “race” are well off… same with the Lightforged Draenie. If they really wanted to add “Light and Void” races they could just had named them “Light/Void-forged -insert race option-”.

But enought rant:

  1. HM tauren.
  2. DI Dwarf.
  3. Mag’har Orc
  4. Zandalari
  5. Kul Tiran
-10. Void Elf, Nightborne, Lightforged Draenie.

Do you really want a horde (for lack of a better word) of teenaged Helves? And that’s assuming they went at it like bunnies 13+ years ago, just full-on “We gotta repopulate! Spread your thighs!”

But yeah - Velves being there, and so many of them, that’s iffy.

Yeah why not?
Have extra customization option too, high pitched voice, voice cracks for going through puberty and what not :stuck_out_tongue:

But in all seriousness, i’d rather have neither but something new instead.
It’s just seems hard enough to swallow that V.E. became playable while they are few (and made out of nowhere), when they could just give High Elves despite that they are few and please a huge amount of the Alliance community since they’ve been asking this for ages.

But oh well…

  1. Dark Iron
  2. Zandalari
  3. Highmountain (Purely subjective - I know they’re not exactly groundbreaking, I just like 'em)
  4. Mag’har
  5. Kul’Tiran
  6. Nightborne (Would be higher if they were more faithful to the NPCs)
  7. Void Elves
  8. Gnolls
  9. Troggs
  10. Leper Gnomes
  11. That one giant maggot from Eastern Plaguelands
  12. Lemonade Draenei

4 and 5 are fairly interchangeable though.
