Favourite BfA zone

As BfA draws to its conclusion, the time has come to rank the various BfA zones and decide which was the best one.

My favourite BfA zone by far was Tiragarde Sound. I loved the characters, I loved the storyline, I loved the aesthetics and music, I loved Boralus, it was all around the perfect zone.

Here’s my ranking based on storyline, aesthetics, and music:

Tiragarde Sound > Drustvar > Stormsong Valley > Zuldazar > Vol’dun > Nazmir

In general the zones of Kul Tiras were way better than the zones of Zandalar, which get very boring after a while. There’s only so much jungle, swamp, and desert I can tolerate before losing my patience. But then again, they are Horde zones. It is not a surprise that they are ugly compared to the Alliance ones. Zuldazar is redeemed by the golden city and intriguing questline, I guess.

If I were to count Nazjatar and Mechagon, I’d put them between Zuldazar and Vol’dun. Decent, but nothing too spectacular, though I appreciated the general aesthetic of Nazjatar with the whole parting seas. The idea was creative.

Dazar’alor

I only played Horde this expansion really, and the way BFA was set up I feel “robbed” of any meaningful reason to play the other three zones.

I really like Stormsong Valley’s theme and atmosphere but I didn’t endure it for two years as a Horde, so I feel like it’s unfair to claim that as my favorite.
For Horde I enjoy doing my WQ’s in Vol’dun. So I’ll go with that one.

That’s just from the main zones. If it counts I really like the open world version of Arathi Basin once your faction controls it.

Nazmir because Bwonsamdi carried the entire story on his own lets be real.

The only part, zone i actually really liked in BfA was in Nazmir, to be precise at the Necropolis. The vibe is super cool there, still a bit upset that we didn’t get a Necropolis raid.

As Horde I’d have to go with Nazmir. Bwonsamdi was pretty cool, I love Krag’wa the frog boss and the entire blood Troll plotline was interesting. Also despite my hatred for the Tortollans the quests surrounding Torga were pretty nice.

For Alliance my favourite was Drustvar and the Order of Embers questline.

Yes sir, and, or øøø mam?

I think mine must be Drustvar.
The witch quests like «basic witch, quit you’r witching and smack my witch up» made me laugh every time it came back as a world quest.

And lets not forget the creepy little tea-party girl :ghost:.

Zuldazar / Grand bazaar and the horde ship. Chilling around at night time was awesome there

Tbh after some long funky brain usage…

I was unable to think of a single zone that I would even consider as my favorite.
They’re all so bland and dull :I

The sand dunes in Vol’dun are kinda kewl I guess. Since they remind me of Frostfire ridge’s snow dunes.

Well, in BfA I’ve had the most fun in Warmode so Drustvar is my favourite zone, specifically the Faction Assault area.

No alliance bias here, purely coincidental

For Alliance it’s Drustvar, no contest here. The ambiance, the theme of the storyline, the antagonists, everything is perfect.
Then it’d be Stormsong Valley for the music, coupled with the Tidespeaker sage’s voice, which I found to be a soothing combination. Having a beautiful zone like that is cool to play in.
Tiragarde was nice, I love the marine theme and all but the zone was kinda bland outside that.

For the Horde I wasn’t that much of a fan of the zones, I HATE the Blood Trolls. Vol’Dun was fine, Zuldazar was not bad either but not memorable.

Mechagone <3 Love it

I mean, I literally told you in the OP that I think Horde zones are generally ugly, so good job finding my bias I guess?

I loved Drustvar, the story was really interesting.

I didn’t really play many Horde characters during BFA but Zuldazar was pretty nice

Im gonna have to say tiragarde sound, i dont rly know why i just like being there.

But you’re literally playing a race that looks like a fat, bearded fast food junkie eating Doritos and playing games lol :stuck_out_tongue: Horde races are at least in shape :stuck_out_tongue:

Zuldazar, Drustvar, Vol’dun, Mechagon, Nazjatar, Nazmir, Stormsong, Tiragarde Sound
