I might be completely stupid but that sounds more like a nerf for me than an “up” adjustement ?

Super disappointed with those changes, not going in the right direction in my opinion.

these don’t feel good, for frost DK, rather than decreasing reliance on cooldowns and increasing sustain, they just weakened our cooldowns. we have half as much mastery from frost whelps aid, 66% of the strength, 5% haste instead of 15% from Rune Weapon, and with the prior ds nerfs we still don’t have the ability to keep up the sustain damage vs these other classes.

Have you tried it on PTR or are you just assuming with numbers?
What I read they are nerfing modifiers but increasing overall strength, which could be either good or bad but it needs testing.

It’ll be bad unless they also buff survivability.
Frost dk don’t want uptime right now cause the survival is laughable… Though the current playstyle is also pretty freaking dumb for a class like dk.

Sounds like they are trying to shift the playstyle of fdk back towards legion, where you were a sustain dps bot, with a strong power spike on cds, which would be a good thing, but at the same time the class is still paper… Will prolly need more than that.

This I agree with, I also do hope they atleast look into ways to improve their defensives after gutting their way to survive against casters.

This is exactly the direction they should be going. Stop the burst / oneshots / buff stacking and spread out the DMG. This is better for PvP and PvE. A ton of classes have this very same problem - 200k DPS in CDs, 10k DPS with no CDs, average 100k DPS! It’s a lot better to do 80k DPS with no CDS and 120k DPS with CDs. CDs dont give you a huge burst, but at least you don’t feel useless outside of them.

I just hope Blizzard follows up on these changes and if they are not enough I hope they buff more the sustain so that it doesn’t feel like you do nothing with and without CDs.

Nope, im fine & super happy with the idea of “less burst, more consistant dmg”, but executed like that nope, thats just killing the class.

it looks like they actually dont want people to plat frost dk pvp. A lot of stuff is reduced to 50% effectiveness which is basically a 50% nerf and the damage lost isnt actually being compensated.

The obliterate “buff” even when it gets 60% increased damage when KM isnt active isnt that much damage. It amounts to 13k hits turning into 24k hits. But when KM procs it loses the 60% increase and instead uses a 15k value (20% increase).

There is absolutely nothing that is actually good about these pvp changes for Frost DK. i’ll try unholy or another class, or just quit. Thoses changes arent good at all, because the issue still persists with the spec, KM Obliterate scaling.
