Vision of perfection was really fun to play with.
We need blood Presence and death syphon back too.

This build can be illogical or inconsistent in some places - at the moment.
I tried to include in it the best of each expansion, wotlk, cata, mop, wod, etc.

With Wotlk, we have a pretty cool CDR talent here for Army of the Dead.
This makes our Army more attractive than Frost and Blood. This move is a result of the return of Army of the Dead to other DK specs - as in wotlk.
Frost fever and blood plague is back as in other expansion (just pick the talent). Also Wandering Plague (wotlk ver. or wod ver.) is back.
With BfA we get Vision of Perfection which worked really great with a small improvement.
From Legion, I chose what was very strong and fun for us at the same time, i.e. the effect of the legendary wrists from before the nerfed. With some facts in mind, I thought it would be worth combining this legendary effect with a Gargoyle, as our main big cd pet has been greatly nerfed. Once in a few minutes, such a high power would not be a problem.
With Shadowlands we have Death’s Due with The Shambler - which makes a very nice and strong build but based on RNG.
We also get something new by replacing Army of the Dead with something different and perhaps more practical.

In conclusion we get many possibilities of creating builds for:

  • diseases
  • pets
  • wounds
  • heavy melee blows
  • or a mix of everything

This will keep us ready and competitive in any combat scenario. Play the way you like, choose what you want, not what you have to.
At the same time, I got rid of a few unnecessary talents that add nothing to the specialization, and by getting rid of Outbreak we save 1 gcd.
I believe Unholy shouldn’t have any difficulty spreading diseases - that’s his specialty, after all. With this in mind, one must move towards interacting with diseases which will ensure the satisfaction of having them. Unholy may even have a passive aura that infects disease to everyone around.

The skills / talents presented in the presentation would probably exhaust the topic of development or improvement of this specialization for a long time.

It looks better and better, however:

  • it still doesn’t solve the problem of a lot of skills to use when starting a fight
  • we still have a lot of holes and downtime in rotation
  • each of the options improving rotation should be a basic and passive skill
  • these problems are caused by badly regenerated runes and insufficient runic power generation
  • the problem with the targets switch has still not been solved in any way.

New Talent - Ruptured Viscera.
We had this skill in Legion and BfA and each of us knows how it ended.
You can’t just add the explosion itself, it needs better interaction, better control.
The problem is still the same - the ghouls will explode when the fight is long over - solve it and it will be a funny and powerful talent.

New Talent - Plaguebearer.
That sounds very good, however, it doesn’t solve the targets switch problem, which is terrible for Unholy.
This is another talent, and we should strive to reduce skills from CD and GCD.
The solution seems trivial - it is enough for this talent to be activated by means of DT. The talent / skill animation should resemble the Pestilence animation with WOTLK.

Unholy Tree - Feedback / 25.08.2022 / Dragonflight Alpha - Build 45232

Runic Mastery - should also have a node to - Clawing Shadows / Plaguebringer.

Plaguebearer - because of the same CD as Unholy Blight, and too many CDs in Unholy, I suggest combining these two talents when selecting both in the tree (Unholy Blight + Plaguebeaere).

Unholy Command - why two ranks here? make one with a reduction for 15s

Pestilent Pustules - it need big buff (e.g. 20% chance grant to you Runic Corruption AND Sudden Doom) or just replace it new better and functionality talent.

Pestilence - same story, as above

Replenishing Wounds - just remove it and replace it with a new talent.

Sudden Doom - it need buff or tuning, e.g. also passively increases the speed of runes regeneration by 20%
OR
Runic Mastery - also adds one rune. Btw. why 2 rank? Make 1.

Ruptured Viscera - I love it but, each of us knows the problem of this skill, it is highly ineffective. You can change it to Corpse Explosion.

Corpse Explosion, for each summoned ghoul, immediately generates charges for some time, e.g. with Apocalypse 4 charges for 4 ghouls, for 15s. with AtoD 9 charges for 9 ghouls for 30s.
This is very similar to the mechanics of Demo warlock, but it gives you control over the blast.
Currently, it is a highly ineffective RNG talent (due to the fact that its effect depends on the duration of the fight and often in previous expansions the explosion occurred after the fight - so a superfluous skill, adding nothing to the fight).
There is only one drawback in this case, it will be the next skill on the bar.

Festering Strike - this ultimately has to infect 3 wounds. Set up 3 wounds, no unnecessary RNG.

Clenching Grasp (DK tree) - bad talent right now, just change it to silence and will be good. As Silence Grasp.

All Will Serve - remove it, it’s a very boring talent. Maybe Shambler, maybe Vision of Perfection will be better.

Ebon Fever - also very boring talent.
Maybe will be better when set duration VP on 20s and you case that Scourge Strike longer duration your VP by 3s. (or all diseases).

Buff Gargo dmg… because it promises to be a weak 3rd expansion for the iconic skill…especially when you’re nerfing last talent ( Commander of the Dead).

Harbinger of Doom merge with Rotten Touch and increases duration from 6s to 10s for buff to Scourge Strike.

Runic Corruption - remove it and change it.

Feasting Strikes - change Festering Strike to Scourge Strike. With the current version, this talent is dead talent, or change it into a passive talent that adds one more rune.

Plaguebearer - the CD extension is terrible but you can remove icd from this and from Unholy Assault to combine these skills(macro), or just combine the two (MERGE) because despite the Unholy Assault buff, it’s still a weak and non-functional talent.
These two talents together - that would be epic.

We still have useless and poorly performing talents such as:

All Will Serve - maybe change it to as chance to Summon Gargo for 15s or ghouls or The Shambler.

Ebon Fever - we already have a Plaguebringer that works much better. Maybe just Ebon Fever should only increase Virulent Plague damage and do nothing else.

Replenishing Wound - remove it and replace it with something useful.

Outbreak - 1 gcd too much and unnecessarily, remove/cut it. Add its functionality to another skill.

I understand and accept other announced changes.
I am waiting for the next, this time, more successful changes.
Finally, I have a question - what about tuning or other changes for Runeforging?
Maybe you should buff e.g. Rune of Apocalypse.
