Isn’t it just week 1? I was under the impression that we were supposed to gear slowly and progress into harder levels later on, not finish everything from day 1. Anyway, here’s hoping they don’t nerf delves into snoozefests, I want a challenge similar to m+ but solo.
Edit: I get there’s somw broken scaling going on right now, talking more about the overall philosophy. Delves should be solo content or at most duo.
I’m concerned with the scaling for more players. Other than that…
There’s always going to be someone who blasts. This is as surprising as the world first race being done in the first week.
We cannot be designing the game around these people. Everybody else gets left in the dirt and won’t have any fun.
What’s important is if you’re having the challenge you’re looking for. If yes, great. If not, potentially a problem, but only if it combines with being compelled to come back on a daily or weekly basis, because that’s when we’ve got a chore.
My impression is that new ones won’t come out and be increasingly challenging. And I already find several of them challenging as solo, and I’m a top 2% player when I try, so it can’t be that easy for the majority.
Slight tunning for solo play and massive boost to group scaling is a right decision. Only better one would be to disable group play completely, as it would open room for real solo player tunning - mage tower like if you want to be specific, but for now we will see how the latest changes work.
The solo difficulty seems about right for the item tier track it offers, but was trivial for groups, this had to change.
I’m pleased it’s not too easy to solo, as long it’s possible for all classes if we think and use our abilities. The mage tower held my interest for ages in Legion, because it was challenging, albeit more mechanically. Caster packs seemed the worst for me, as I didn’t have the interrupts/stuns to avoid hard hitting damage from them. I don’t really care that people are grouping up and spanking it, as long as I can continue to try it solo.
I agree, they should be fixed, not nerfed.
I have been doing t7 max on purpose. I don’t want to do everything in the first few days.
I think that multiplayer options for delves was a mistake.
It’s too late now, but I hope for future seasons that they’ll remove that option and make it exclusively solo content.
I didn’t read it anywhere, but I did a couple solo delves within the last days, and tried 2 today. They are buffed as well, I gave up because I don’t need them as much, but didn’t got any of the 610 items yet, so kinda sad. Poor tuning for casters.
Why are you gloating about a new system being ruined?
It’s pretty pathetic, honestly. You’ve been like this for the last couple of days.
If they’re not for you; then let them be.
Go do what you like. No need to make others feel bad because Blizzard historically has been screwing ‘casual’ players over again and again. They should fix this.
The thing that I never understood even when Delves were easy is why both solo and group players get 5 “lives”. That’s 5 wipes for the solo player, but ONE wipe for the group…
Delves needed to be harder, the fact they could be soloed at 560 and essentially guaranteed free 600+ items was insane.
Delves are supposed to be end game content, competing with mythic plus and raiding, therefor they should be as hard as both.
My paladin finished DF S4 at 3.2k rio, perhaps in the top 10 or 20% but hardly impressive, and hardly 0.01% of people.
Ret paladin had significant advantages in DF S4 it doesn’t have now, meaning top 20% figure for my performance, would probably be lower if m+ finished today.
I have completed t8 delves without a group, at 570 ilevel.
