Idk, I like reading 2 million damage whenever I use my trinket
I agree and they said there wasnât gonna be a squish next expansion, which is crazy.
My proposed solution which may be unpopular is to remove gear slots such as rings and neck to curtail the exponential scaling. They have no visual representation anyways. Just stat sticks.
I donât think that is where the issue is.
The issue presents itself when hitting numbers above 1 million.
We tend to just process the first two or tree numbers.
Now say you deal 1.245.697 on one attack and 1.278.567 on another.
Donât tell me you will see more than 1.2m. You may even register the 3rd digit, but thatâs it. The rest of the number is useless noise that is completely filtered out. We tend to filter it with a âkâ for the last 3, but the â45â â78â start falling in no manâs land. So, at that point⌠why have it?
Thereâs also issues when health gets too big that itâs represented in millions. At that point you can equip a piece of gear and see no change at all in your hp cause you had say 1.2m hp, but the new piece doesnât give enough stamina to get you to 1.3m. So, no discernable difference.
These are issues, wether people want to admit it or not.
i said this years ago, at least as early as WoD prepatch, not sure if i said it in MoP prepatch cause i never played MoP.
they increase the numbers too much. the damage, the health, the levels. this is why weâve had however many stat squishes we have had now.
actually, how many stat squishes of some form or another haver we had at this point?
and it was even their reason why they dropped the level cap from 120 in BfA (?) to 70 as it is now and now it âfeelsâ like youâre being depowered every expansion because you keep getting reduced to lvl 60.
but yet, every time they keep increasing the numbers by massive amounts, and as Thanos said, its inevitable that we will need another stat squish.
