Right, summarizing the video, most players who queue for arena play undead. Consequentially, the top teams… well they mostly contain undead. Surprised? good players will do well, regardless of their race, bad players will do badly for the same reason. I don’t see the downside of the same faction bg’s. I highly doubt we will see a shift from horde to the alliance if we remove racials from PvP… because of what I said earlier, the general person prefers to play Horde.
For those servers who have a population issue where it’s impossible to get something, they might be able to do something layer-wise and create some safe-zone layers where you can dodge PvP combat. Next to that, the PvP based layers would have population caps, putting exactly as many horde/alliance players of equal level in a zone (or well give or take 10 players). this should solve the huge faction imbalance on some servers, including our own where we get slapped 4 to 1 the minute we leave a city for a questing area.
Going from 1 hour queue to being able to actually play battlegrounds all day has been amazing. Actually felt motivated to play pvp again just for the fun of it, which has been a long time since waiting in queue 80% of the day aint fun.
Right, I as one of those semi afk players during last AV weekend got banned on 2 accounts what for 10 days since “I was forced to play just to get some honor” since outside AV weekend for horde it’s not possible and not that good on AV weekends with long que times but better than nothing.
I was really happy and not stressed to casually farming honor on my 3rd account during this test. During wargames I actually ENJOYED bg since I felt I was forced to do it and for that reason could also enjoy pve content at the same. I should also mention with the wargames doing pvp didn’t feel like “just perform this and hope it will end” like as if felt on AV weekend.
Meta-slaves’ influence (through Discord/YouTube/Twitch, etc) rapidly spreads to the average player who thinks “Hey, I’ll roll Undead Warlock for the racial in PvP because this guide said it’s the BIS…” etc.
This is the only thing that i’d agree on. You call people meta slave yet you quote Staysafe’s video. This guy is a biggest joke there is. Explaining you about how bad your Alliance racials are and on and on. Totally ignoring or not knowing about the fact that 3 classes “Mage/Priest/Rogue” play same Race which is Undead in arenas and are in top100. Meanwhile you go Human Rogue/Mage or Gnome Mage and Dwarf Priest on Alliance. So add those up from the video of 2v2 arena and you’ll have almost the same numbers. And imagine what, Alliance racials in PvP are INSANE. You have perception that allows you to win any Horde Mirror Matchup or you have Dwarf Priest that can survive through Mage/Rogues burst. You have Gnome with basically almost 2nd PvP Trinket. I don’t understand how can you whine about meta slaves not even knowing the advantages of your faction. You say people listen to this youtubers and you are not following it that is why you chose Draenei yet you are linking info from clueless meta slaves like Staysafe.
Holy moly you Alliance players just cry about your bad racials every time. Just learn to play the game and think for yourselves once in a freaking lifetime how really powerful your faction is.
I’d reroll Alliance any given day. But unfortunately I chose the wrong faction in Classic and it’s kinda hard to give up a character with r14 and scarab lord title.
Nevermind the endless arguments it all boils down to “I’d reroll alliance but I won’t” you don’t have to keep lying we know you never intended to switch factions.
People just don’t wanna play Alliance this expansion but funny enough many were willing to go Horde with 58 boosts so Blizz will find a solution that benefits the Horde.
I would like to have the choice like in retail so i just activate it if i dont like to wait and deactivate if i dont like the system so everyone has a choice. I think its good to use better systems from retail, because some problems have been fixed so why not implenent it like the auctionhouse.
Put it any way you like, Ally lose more than Horde. Keep counting your honor and crying that you can’t farm extremely fast while Ally barely ever win a game.
I’ve lost 12+ in a row today alone and I’m counting just for you.
well racials are imbalanced however you can still play the game whatever race you want. there is literally zero current solutions to the horde que times. we cannot faction change. we cannot move to another server which has faster ques.
most people could not give a crap about racials / horde vs alliance. they are paying for a game they want to play
This to me sounds like a bubble boy who is now sad that he isn’t meta anymore.
There has pretty much always been more horde than alliance players, even when the alliance bubble butts were favored.
With the exception of a few try-hard guilds, most people who are horde now, were horde in classic classic when we weren’t Meta. Most people couldn’t care less if there is a slight boost, when the main reason we’re still horde is, obviously, that we have spent days and weeks farming, grinding and building up our characters on that server - of course we’re going to stick with it.
In the end, horde is the cooler faction - its better packaged, better marketing.

Unlike when TBC originally came out I can only put some hours in to honor grinding during weekends now. At least with fast queues I can get 1-2 pieces per week. Hour long queues make acquiring pvp gear so long for me that there is just no point even trying.
If you keep this, allow free transfers from pvp realms for alliance players. Let the horde be happy about their victory and pvp each other in bgs.
What you got as aliance? Getting farmed at meeting stones, gettin reskilled at farming spots, getting into karazan 5x death at least… why to play aliance on pvp realm now? On realm which used to be healthy on classic vanilla, but now ratio horde/ali shifted a lot. Why to roll aliance now?
