Next time instead of picking “Maw rat deals 800 damage to everybody on explosion” pick “Increases your crit chance by 3%” That could improve your single target dps, just the tip

Why go into layer 2? Just go straight to layer 3 instead.
its rng really. i did mordrethar on my first try just before the reset. no issues there unlike the fractured chambers when i had horrible anima powers
I totally agree with OP. The Maw of the Maw is literally the worst Thorgast boss ever and needs to be fixed. It has an interruptible cast called “Gunk” that does a crazy amount of AOE damage. So imagine you play with a spec without a kick… you’re just lost if you haven’t some amazing anima power that shields you from spells, or a lot of self heal.
But worse, the boss casts an armor reduction cast “Devour: Obleron Armaments”, that literally eats through a tank’s defenses. Today my Vengeance demon hunter friend got almost one-shot by it, when he run out of def CD’s for it.
So we were a MM hunter, and a DH tank. We could kick every AoE cast, but since both classes don’t have quick stuns, (Freezing Trap is laggy and hard to time a stun with, and sigil is impossible to stun with if you don’t know a bosses internal cast timings). We did all we could, like running back in when one of us died to Devour Obleron Armaments, while the other was tanking, but lost all our lives with the boss just on 65K left.
The boss is doable if you have insane anima powers, but with our setup it was just not enough. In the other layer 3 wing, we just bursted the boss away, with me and the tank doing like 13K dps together. At Maw of the Maw, we had like 5 K dps, with worse anima powers, and all the dying and kiteing.
Buy all the stuff from npc - save all your phantasms & buy buy buy - he nearly killed me but I got him with smoke screen. On my no gear pally
Don’t pick up Obleron powers from floor 3 and onward if it’s a slimyboi as hologram next to the broker.
It deals more damage if you have any, and gets a stacking damage buff.
Quite dumb design, since you can’t know prior to floor 3.
I checked ur ilvl, u’re only 158. What did u expect to happen?
Most of players are 170+ now after 2 weeks of mythic dungeons. I have no idea what you’ve been doing all the time when right now HC are so spammable and 170 gear is a joke to get.
Get urself better gear and you will complete Torghast.
Posts like this make me laugh. I have other commitments other than wow. I have 2 kids, a full time job plus overtime, family commitments due to the pandemic. I am trying my best to get geared. Armory seems to he behind as I’m 160 something now. We can’t all be ahead of the curve. I’m firmly middle of the pack.

Hello so like at yestoday’s evening i tried to do the boss after the wrath of the jailer but noone came and joined my group despite the fact that i both said it in general chat and that i also made a premade group for it.
