Feel for the GMs - Raid Size Changes AGAIN

  • Temple of Ahn’Qiraj is now tuned for 20 players and allows up to 25 players in a raid.

  • Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj is now tuned for 10 players and allows up to 15 players in a raid.

As a GM, I feel for you other GMs who built a flexible roster of around 25-30 players to raid with, like us. I can only presume benching players will lead to some degree of attrition in the playerbase as they have to go find PUGs. And I say presume, when really I mean anecdotally the flex raid system of 20-40 was one of the biggest things that kept our casual guild of RL friends afloat.

Problem is, now we have a roster of 30, so bench time again?

We are in the same boat. Casual guild that build our roster for around 30 and now we need to rebuild…again :frowning:

Have the Devs never managed a guild before?

I think 25 man is fine. 30 man trivializes the raids a lot.

Well guilds can choose what loot ratio and difficulty they wanted. Easier = less loot.

Now we need to bench those players

This will also affect our guild and raid comp. It would be good to keep it at 20-40 and 10-20. It feels bad to have to bench any player now that we all got used to playing together.

I personally don’t understand it either. why does the raid size have to be adjusted again now?
We have 25+ players at the moment. Sending people to the bench is completely stupid.

Please Blizzard don’t make this change. Simply makes the bosses stronger the more players there are. like in retail flexraid

They like to mix it up xD

why tho? just let people have fun with it - they are already penalized by getting less loot per person anyways, so there’s a valid reason to try it with less players, if you love to minmax.
really awkward to change it again

Still hoping they reconsider
