Felguard is pathetic

Felguard does not seem as powerful as blizzard promised to be. It is 400k HP and does mediocre damage. It does bring only one ST stun that is literally nothing. lack of interrupt is a huge miss.

If you change to the other pet, then your rotation mess up.

Actually in pvp succubus does more dmg because it’s shadow and bypass armor, but I also feel like felguard’s dmg is terribly low but if I’m right it’s '‘ok’'for them because legion strike is an aoe so it is not supposed to do high dmg.

I have mixed feelings, the damage feels low yet it does do quite a large portion of my overall dmg when checking PvE logs.
For PvP its meh, some passive pressure but nothing threatening.

All our demons in Legion lost from 20-40% of their damage.
Look at TBC to WoD. Felguard had not best ST damage but his cleave was good, really good. Succubus or Shivarra(with grimoire of supremacy) both eclipsed Fel/Wrathguard on ST. Only in Cata due strange blizz decisions Felhunter had the just OP ST damage.

And btw thanks to the idiot that nerfed felguard’s ms because it was ‘’ too strong’’ when pretty much every melee got it now…

Even in dampening we don’ t have that tool to help is.

it’s a joke of a pet. does ok damage but it’s so squishy. having 2 talents tied to it also doesn’t feel good at all when you have to switch to felhunter for an interrupt.

gonna be so fun with a SIX SECONDS cast time (:

if you’re looking at warcraftlogs, felstorm and soulstrike are counted as melee attacks by the felguard and don’t show up in logs but those are your spells, since they’re on your gcd, idk, it’s not set and forget like the other pets

The fact that felgaurd does not feel unique anymore. The whole point of demo is that you get a felgaurd, so make the felgaurd feel OP to the rest to give that rewarding feeling of yes, because i play demo i get that overpowered demon to serve me. Back in TBC the felgaurd felt unique because he had a special effect that made him more deadly with each hit.

Felguard was never OP or unique. He was a strong additional choice that other warlocks didn’t had. He had stun and good cleave damage, but till Legion succubus had more damage in ST department + her lash of pain also ignored armor of players and targets that also made her more prominent ST damage dealer.

Problem lies not in Felgaurd alone, for demo we lost all things that made ALL our demons powerful. We lost good pasives, spells, talents! Demons themselfs was nerfed and redesigned - no knockback for succubus, nerfed healing reduction for Felguard, no HP buff for imp! It was not felguard who lost his flavor, it was all our demons who has lost things that made them special, and even better for demonology.

True, damn shame blizz striped all our pets. But the way I see it. As demo, we get a demo-only pet and that pet should feel unique and powerful. Like i said before, back in TBC felgaurd really was unique because he had a special attack power bonus…Felgaurd should give the player the rewarding feeling: OK, i choice to play demo and therefor i get a overpowered felgaurd as a pet.

My feedback:
-Buff felgaurd to give us warlock an more rewarding feeling for playing demo.
-Buff the stun to ALSO interrupt. This can be easily done by adding the effect and text: targets that are immune to a stun are interrupted instead.
-Maybe give demo a fel lord pet talent?

Felguard even in lore not strongest demon. Sayaads - succubus is more powerful demon, at least in magic terms.
Demo should be able to play with all demons like it was pre Legion.
In MoP/WoD you could meet a demo lock with imp/wild imp on BGS with special set of talents and he could blow away Felguard in terms of ST damage or utility because imp had HP buff, disspell for you, small heal, and such utility spells could have been drasticaly improved with Grimoire of supremacy talent.
Felguard on the other hand was useful as CC guy or raw power to cut the group of enemies.

I don’t agree. The way I see it or what I would like to see is that felgaurd to be our shot caller. That’s why I played demo during TBC because back then felgaurd had that unique damage buff… The whole normalization of demons doesn’t sit well with me…

I remember TBC, WotLC, MoP and WoD that my succubus was more usefull for me, felguard as a good addition when i his presence was needed. I loved how i could switch on my imp and counter Shadow priests, mages, or other warlocks who heavily rellied on their DoT’s and debuffs, i loved how my felhunter was a thing and was useful in arenas, i loved to use void to disarm melees, i liked to use my felguard when he was needed, but for me more usefull was my Shivarra. And it was the beauty of old demonology, you could play with any demon you wanted without being pushed to use one speciefic because he or she was best of the best of the best. Pre Legion only in Cata demo was forced to play with felhunter because blizz made huge mistake with desing of shadow bite - shadow bite dealt 33% more damage for every your DoT on the target, and Demo could apply 3-4 DoT, and it all was buffed by mastery, so felhunter in cata left beind all demons in terms of raw DPS.

Legion Strike is a reasonably hard hitting ability and it does a good amount of AOE damage o_O

Also, voidwalker is useless now. Why would anybody summon one? Even as affli I used the other demons. Maybe with more health and better aggro…

Void has his niche usage. He is useful in “oh crap” situations in PvE - leveling, horrific visions with masks, when your felguard dies it is almost useless to summon another one, because new felguard won’t be able to aggro enemies effectively due lack of taunts (Felguard has buff that increases aggro he generates), and void in the other hads has dedicated taunt.
Void is also useful in some BGS like eye of the storm, he easily can interupt cap of the flag with his cleave, and be pain in the butt for enemy team.

Actually, Felguard was very OP in prepatch to tbc with a trinket from BWL. it could solo the best geared people on the server

felguard is a joke. i want to be a DEMONOLOGY warlock, not a felguard warlock, stop locking the entire spec into 1 demon and allow us to use any demon we want, just like we used to be able to

Tbh imho I dunno why they didn’t baseline that talent warlocks had which upgraded the pets for demo only

This would have been the ultimate method really

Give demo the upgraded pets from before, then give them reason to use all of them

Demos always look like demo warlocks without being stuck to one pet.

It’s fine to want demo to use a unique pet to look unique to the others but baselining that talent and giving demo 5 unique pets for that specc only would have achieved the same thing without the feeling of being pigeonholed into a single pet

BM hunter gets the ability to tame more powerful pets to gain it’s unqiueness without these problems

Demo warlocks needs the same thing

BM hunter’s pets do 30+% dmg, hunter can switch target ez, has an interruption button, can pew-pew while moving/jumping/dancing/afk/cookingpizza, instant burst, instant pet heal without consumption of the owner’s health + instant 100% pet health restore button, tons of pets to be tamed, etc etc etc. Why would anyone play demonology if there is such a comfortable pet summoner in the game?
