If they all will look like flat tomboys fully covered head to toe as if being appropriately sexy(where applicable - eg. not plate armor) was a blasphemy, I don’t want it. ALSO
Big, buff, sweaty hairy men fighting other big, buff, sweaty hairy men.
Can we just stop pretending objectifying is the worst thing ever if done properly and both ways.
Ysera wasn’t in the cinematic. Probably confused it with the mount that you get from the epic edition. Was interesting how they made a CGI version of it but you otherwise never see it anywhere in the game world.
Otherwise I feel like Xalatath would be great canditate for the full CGI trailer. Would love to see her outfit in that format, really cool design.
If you mean this bit https://youtu.be/Pj3MGAlcfyo?t=60
It’s still the mount you got when you bought the expansion. Alexstraza was the only one that was featured in the CGI cinematics.
I would still say no because they’re pretty small drakes, if you compare to the environment and then the size of Alex. Merithra is still a pretty old dragon so she’s not a small one, plus horns or the general look doesn’t match her old form or current.
Good point tho I had not noticed they were using the green dragon flight there on the side! Focus was more on the expansion mount
The War Within cinematic was kind of lame honestly. I expected something glorious to gasp about and watch these cool reaction videos from streamers and from Blizzcon crowd. The only cool thing was when they showed the sword, but still. I hope they do us justice and give is something very cool next Blizzcon. And yeah, hopefully something like Alleria & Xal’atath fight even tho I would be happy with the regular cinematic like Sylvanas vs. Tyrande
Yeah I would love to see them in those cinematics. I would love just to see more cinematics to begin with.
Those ingame ones are…fine, but not exactly the same.
Would Tyrande do the bounce, is my biggest question right now~
And again; I’ve not spent a second thinking about how few women we have in cinematics. I’m a woman, I should have noticed; but I haven’t. I guess it hasn’t mattered if it was cool, I am more bothered if the cinematic seems meh…
I really loved Sylvanas in BFA one tho, it’s a shame she got hurled on by a certain someone IRL.
Hey! There are other stereotypes then big buff and hairy(although they aint a bad one, respect), If you more into femboys anduin is/was right there, now he got a beard which made me somewhat sad cause now we have illidan and khadgar if we want clean shaven, but they’re both soo… meh.
But Malfurion exists so I’m okay.
But seriously we have strong and soft women, so when do we get soft boys, there are more stereotypes I wanna see!
Thats a good point actually…you dont often see female characters in cinematics. It would be interesting to see a realistic version of some of the female characters (Id love to see a realistic version of Lilian Voss!).
Although TBF the ladies totally ruled the DF cutscenes!
Well, you got the one unnamed night elf in the classic one, though I would say that no characters shown in the classic one are named.
You got a female blood elf in BC one, but only named character there is Illidan.
Wrath you have Sindragosa, a female dragon. though undead.
Cata its just Deathwing.
Panda is just the three dudes doing some kung fu panda stuff
Wod, is just a bunch of named orcs doing typical orc things, so you know.
Legion you got your Sylvanas
BFA, got your Sylvanas.
Shadow, Sylvanas.
Dragon, Alextrasza is a named female character.
So the question is “why are there so many named Sylvanas’s in my CGI master pieces?”
She looks like a body builder with huge demon hunter weapons in newer in-game cut-scenes, rather than an elven priestess. I used to like her in Warcraft 3 and early WoW, but Blizz kept changing her way too much.
