Female Characters In Cinematics

I’m interested to know if anyone else wants to see some of the named female characters in cinematics, not sure if the fancy cinematics have an actual proper name so I guess the cgi ones??
We’ve had Sylvanas several times now but no other named female character, I’d have liked to have seen Jaina in some for BfA. Or for Dragonflight Alexstraza, Ysera, Merithra.
Maybe I am the only one who thinks some female representation is a bit lacking in the cinematics. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love everything so far, I’d just love to see some of the epic women of the game represented in the amazing cgi cinematics!

Its personal taste but I dont like the CGI cinematics. I far prefer the regular ones.

Dunno if Im wrong but isnt just the last WoW cinematic a CGI? The War Within (with real actor).

I’m not sure of the correct technical term for the cinematics that look incredibly realistic compared to the cinematics that look like regular game play.

They won’t do female characters because you will have those certain individuals, who will complain that the larger ladies are not being represented in all their glory.

Were as we men, we don’t care if the guy on the screen is fat, thin, muscular, undead, green or has a glowing crystal sticking out his butt

Heathen !!

I also do not care what size the characters come in, it is a game after all so bodyshape isn’t all that important to me. I just wanna see some of my fav female characters

If we don’t have an Alleria v Xalatath one, I shall be disappointed.

You mean like the one for TWW with Thrall and that Alliance King? If so, how many of those have there actually been?

As a woman myself:
I’ve spent exactly 0 thought to this pre-this thread.
I wonder why?

Personally I’d like Blizz to focus on the game itself. In-game cut scenes (the ones that use actual gameplay models) are completely sufficient. I understand the need for cinematics as a form of promotion (e.g. of a new expansion), but I’m playing a game, not watching a movie. I wouldn’t like Blizz to redirect resources from perfecting the game into making fancy animations that have zero impact on the product I pay for.

Doubt they really have to. They have a cinematic team, possibly a sub debt of their art debt (I’m assuming anyway) which means they’ve budgeted for it all since all the resource allocation should, in a sane world anyway, be decided in advance.

That said I do agree that the in game cutscenes using the in game models are good enough for what wow is and perhaps blasphemy but I really don’t like the latest promotional cinematic with thrall and the human who is apperantly anduin despite looking nothing like him. It just looks off.

On the actual topic… yeah it’s be nice to see the characters from wow in cinematic related to wow. Not sure the gender matters any.

it is actually a thing since vanilla .the intro cutscene of and expansion and original game has always been of cinematic quality .it is nothing new

I skip those 'cause i have no faith in the story

True but there’s a marked difference between previous ones and the most recent. The newest one just looks weird.

I wanna see Tyrande. She’s OG and has never been shown.

I want to see Xalatath meeting the void lords or something cool like that, but not sure if Xalatath is Even Female, She might have body of an elf woman, but I would call her “It” as the true form is probabbly some amalgamation of eyes, tentacles and mouths.

That’s a bit mean … she spent a whole expansion whispering to me while being a dagger and I kind of got used to having her around.
