Alright, as far as lore tells us, there were no night elf (NE) female druids before the third war.
And now when I lvld a druid I think I misunderstand something.
In Legion Valsharah storyline we find some female druids, and, which bothers me most, female archdruids.
If female druids appeared 30 yrs ago or so then how could any of them become archdruids in such short time? Archdruids are, like, the most wise, ferocious and old druids, aren’t they? I can understand why female NE player can become an archdruid - game mechanics or so, though why is Koda Steelclaw an archdruid of the claw?
So that means that either Archdruid is something not as great as it seems to be OR there were female NE druids before the third war, then why did Blizzard lie to us or will this be retconed in next addons\wc3reforged?
Jaina and Khadgar are some of the most powerful mages in the world, despite being human and in the presence of immortal or near immortal elven mages with millennia and more of experience, study and research to draw on.
Apparently the spellschools in warcraft are such that a mortal mind can master them in just 30-40 years, or a bit less; where experience beyond that doesn’t really count unless you’re just a slow learner.
Actually, female Kaldorei (Arch)druids were around since way before the Third War(unlike male Moon-Priests). They just weren’t members of the Cenarion Circle, since they didn’t allow female Druids into their organisation.
After the Third War, the Cenarion Circle officialy changed its policy and opened its doors to female Kaldorei Druids, some of them who had been Druids so long they could be considered Archdruids.
Also, it isn’t such a stretch, since as a poster above said; magic can be mastered in a rather short period of time in Warcraft. therefor Tauren Archdruids weren’t such a stretch either(Hamuul Runetotem became a Archdruid in the period between WarIII and WoW) and I am certain we will Kul Tiran Archdruids by the next expansion.
I like the idea of a female Night Elf Learning nature Magic and druidism from a Dryad, considering they weren’t allowed inside the Cenarion Circle and such. I read somewhere that male Druids weren’t that willing to teach females about Druidism, The Balance, and the Emerald Dream. Don’t know if that’s correct though.
What I gather they want us to think, is that female druids werne’t unheard off, just quite rare since the sisterhood of Elune is such a huge thing amongst night elves and it is exclusively females, most females would opt to go there especially during the long vigil that had no arcane option.
This meant that the males had to find something else to do. Usually the males would pack out the arcane and druidic sections because Elune attracted most of the females, by share numbers it would mean the other orders would have more males available.
For the long vigil period, with no arcane section, they would all be druidic, and be overwhelmingly male, but not exclusively. This is how I would reason it out.
However, night elf chicks are hot, and therefore they can be everything, and are often used more than males for druid models, just look at the druids since TBC, there has been a much larger female representation than male… so much so that the Trial of Crusader in WotLK, had all the night elf druid competitors females much to my disgust cos i felt it was the eroding the established lore just to have hot chicks.
but hey… there is a reason why the chicks in warcraft are hot, and the males, are not. It is designed by men mostly.
