Hi there, is it possible to mute/stop the grunting or whatever the hell those sounds my female orc dk does while she fights? It’s really annoying and I can’t seem to find a way to mute/remove it. Ty for your time.

Try out muting either emote sounds or error speech in the system–>sound menu.

I like female orc sounds. I had a lot of fun leveling my (draenei) warrior in orc zones with a 2-hander. First of all arms spec make big metallic BANGS. And female orcs do indeed sound like they’re trying to inhale while being overrun by a steamroller.

There is a mod out there called “Mute Annoying WoW Sounds”.
It is on Curse, just download it and follow the guide. I would provide a link, but thanks to this piece of garbage called a forum, I am not allowed to do so.

The error speech doesn’t work on the grunt sounds, but the mod does. Thank you for the replies and the solution. One would think that this could be made an option in settings…
also the male lightforged draenei noises sound like a dying horse

How would you want female orcs to sound?
Like dainty little girls? Like human women?
I personally think that utterly unflattering grunting they got going suits them perfectly.

I’d want them to sound not like they are giving birth while slashing with their swords, and if you think their grunts during battle are normal you need to get yourself checked.
The sounds are actually very loud and obnoxious and for some reason it’s only the orc women that have such terrible sounds. Even Mag’har have better combat sounds and still don’t sound like “little girls”, their voices are actually very deep.

ha I got fed up with hearing the Lf Draenei noises…so much so that I can’t play one
What you’ll need to do is uncheck the box for Dialogue under Sound options via the ingame esc menu.
You won’t be able to hear anything your character says at all though, it literally mutes your toon.
Even normal Draenei females are squeakers… Gnome females aren’t a great deal quieter.
Orc females are a misakes.
males laying eggs would be more interesting.

But sure, toss in an insult at the end for good measure for me daring to have an opinion different to yours 
Or like the orks from the Warhammer universe… Releasing spores that grow in the soil until new orks sprout from the ground like mushrooms.

Don’t take it so hard
I have been normal orc and now mag’har orc on my Warrior tank but i kinda like the grunting. Imo it fits a Warrior were u not only try to bash their head in but also try to scare every other oponnent.
I think war shouts come in to fix that, which would sound like shouts, and not screams of agony.
