After testing Feral (Cat) quite a bit on the PTR here are my impressions:
Pros: Bleed Buffs feel good. Energy reg and the goar buff feels impactful and nice.
Cons: Furious Bite feels absolutly horrible. Shred requiring you to stand behind is still annoying and unnecessary (especially in pvp). Still no useful or nice opener.
Suggestions QOL (which should be done in any case):
- Make Shred usable from all positions. It feels awful in PVE and PVP for really no reason.
- Furious Bite should receive the 30% dmg boost from mangle. Its still very weak, but maybe usable in very rare scenarios. Doesnt affect DPS (at all?), but feels good.
- Revert the nerf on mangle back to 300%. Doesnt affect DPS (at all?), but feels good.
Buff suggestions:
- Make Skull bash a base skill or move it to a non essential feral slot (like bracers, or back)
- Elunes fire should also affect/extend rake duration by 3 Seconds.
Nerf suggestions:
- Frienzied reg. should be lowered from 10% to like 8% (Or 6% in WSG) to hurt flag carry druid. Yes, i as feral suggest a feral flag carry nerf.
- If DPS turns out to be too high (which i really doubt, because these changes wont affect DPS too much), then tone done Autoattack DMG slightly.
One thing i would like to see is to activate savage roar in stealth or buff openers in a meaningful way.
*For example: Ravage deals 30% more dmg, but is unaffected by savage roar or trigger 1 Point savage roar *
And maybe pounce can be used from all sides.
Thank you for reading, let me know what you think.

Remove the rng component from Gore.
Alternative suggestion: Gore: Everytime Rip or Rake deals damage, the CD of Tiger’s Fury is reduced by 1 sec.
This removes rng, gives more value to bleeds and multidotting value
I am also not a too big fan of the RNG component of gore.
However i think thats mostly because the rng was very low (5%). With 15% it will proc frequently.
I know why they did not add a flat cd reduction to gore.
Because it doesnt feel good. It boosts your dps without “feeling” it.
Thats why they went with the proc chance.
And they set it so low to prevent multi proccing.
I am not against a proc chance if its done smart.
I’d tent towards a high proc chance with a 6s cd.
Like 20% but it can only proc after 6s.
However, since their developer Team is so little i’d prefer they attack first that my shred/bounce to work from all sides and furious bite to not be troll
Two more interesting changes could be done to make it less “boring”
Savage roar is boring AF. Change it to be increases all damage done by +20% instead by +30%. But now it also increases damage done by rake, rip, and ferocious bite by additional +40%. This would make it less boring and would also solve the “finishers are too weak” problem.
And second is let wild strikes trigger from feral special attacks too and not only from auto attacks (if this is not fixed already)

You know whats funny. All ferals have very similar suggestions.
Yes wild strikes feel like a “team only” ability, when i think it should benefit you as owner the most.
There are many really good and simple to implement Things.
For other classes the Playerbase want this insane buffs, while the feral playerbase would only like some good QOL and interesting Changes.
However, currently i dont see any of those on the PTR… I just hope they do not forget cat at all, when its really so easy to implement many of these things, without worrying it will make the class too strong.
I agree. I would also add :
- Dash (sprint) buff not disapearing when changing form, this way you can still benefit from the speed if you need to morph out → morph in cat
- Nature grasp usable in any forms
And there is a bug on ptr rn that is messing up combo points when hitting multiple targets with swipe
Given how the game evolved in SoD I’d like pounce changed to at least have no positional requirement, adding 1 sec to the stun and/or a slight reduction in energy cost would not tip the scale to overpowered either.
step 1. get flag.
step 2. pop sprint.
step 3. swap to bear form (and keep the sprint)
are u nuts man?
He is saying make the aura persist through shapeshifting, So if you pop sprint leave cat form and re enter CAT FORM sprint still is active. Not keep sprint movement speed active while running in bear form.
They introduced these kind of mechanics in BFA or Shadowlands. And it has been so popular, that now almost every class has it in some kind, players love it.
Either getting reduction on key CDs or keeping them up longer if you play your rotation correctly. And even more satisfying if multidotting/cleaving can speed up that process.
Not at all boring. What’s boring is slotmachine content, whether it’s 5% or 15%.
