Hi
Im considering leveling a feral druid. But wondering if its good to level? Does it have good dps and is it squishy?
Asking only for leveling, if its a pain to level I wont bother

It is fun to level and your surv is good. I have always enjoyed it, it can start off a bit slow but as soon as you get those passive effects that help with energy regen and combo points it is a smooth ride.
Its my favorite open world spec for leveling, espescially with balance afinity… which makes it so verstatile…
Easier leveling as guardian quite frankly.
Leveling is easy on all classes.
Thats why i choose the one thats most fun to play
There used to be times when some classes and specs were quite a chore to level up. Nowadays it’s more about preferred playstyle. Especially with druids.
Are you a fan of Doom 2? Go guardian.
Are you a fan of Hitman 2? Go feral.
Are you a fan of Sniper Elite? Go balance.
I haven’t tried to level up in restoration spec. I switch to it only when queued up in a Dungeon Finder. But the aforementioned three - choose by your preference. That’s the most important factor.
Actually leveling as resto with feral afinity is the best healer leveling experience… you have some ranged and some feral skills, a bit of bear defense and huge survivabillity trough heals
I went Balance while leveling. Thinking about leveling another druid as Feral and Guardian. Does anyone know if feral will be strong in SL?
All depends, in general PvP most people think feral performs very well (burst), in PvE most people think the damage is way to low
I started to level a druid on weekend and got him to lvl 50 yesterday. I loved it.
I put a HOT on me, then stealth and dang dang…
Run some instances as tank and healer. So yes, go for it. Sorry I couldnt post on my new druid.
I started leveling (one of) my side druids first as a cat that hadn’t the best gear. It could bleed and kite the bigger mods with ease and thought it was great.
I then leveled my main druid which was decent geared bear. It destroyed what the cat had problems with.
I’ve had fun playing both specs but on my next druid it will be another bear.
I’ve leveled a few druids; one in Legion, one in BFA, and working on another now (had to escape Draenor-EU’s queue). While leveling these I intermittently switched between the specs at certain skill milestones in order to see if any one spec pulls ahead at certain points.
I’ve found Guardian to be the fastest overall. Basically immortal, damage isn’t too far behind Feral or Balance for single target, and you can tank any elite or 5+ smaller dudes with ease.
Admittedly the more HP a mob has, the weaker Guardian is in terms of speed. But most mobs are normal, and most of the time you’re meant to kill a number of them; something Guardian excels at. If you level in WoD Chromie-time, you usually have the zone ability to help you out with single-target stuff.
Also Bear-leveling with Warmode on is chill, because nobody who know about Guardian druids will bother trying their luck on you; and those who don’t end up running away out of boredom/frustration
I just got done level a Ret to 60 and Im now leveling a feral, while with feral I dont kill stuff as fast as my Ret, the survivability is pretty awesome, the instant travel form feels pretty good and stealth is always welcome.
On one hand, the survivability of Ferals is high. I can’t say about damage because I came with M+ gear and everything seems to be dying fast. In terms of the routine, my Feral is only 52 but so far it seemed a little cluttered. IMO Blizzard did not really think through Ferals, again. As to the other specs, reading others’ opinions makes me think of swapping between specs, like Feral and Guardian while fighting trash and bosses. I suppose gear during levelling does not matter that much.
